Re: Fitzergerald to Eagles rumor...

Rumor or not, I can't belive the Eagles would have to give up a 2nd, and Lito Sheppard. I've heard his name a lot this offseason, and it's kindly like they are making him a bum. I still think he's a damn good player. kinda sounds like the deal we made with Champ and Portis.

Even here in Philly the fans know that it will be way too expensive.

So Im going to post this here for now because we are talking about Campbell and I didnt want to start another "draft this guy thread'.

I was just doing some research and even though hes coming out a year early, he already earned his degree. I thought that was pretty cool. I love my school and all, and realized the first week that the football players do their own thing, but still, not everyday you see hurricanes come out early with a degree!

Re: Fitzergerald to Eagles rumor...

Well, I just talked to my best friend who happens to be HARDCORE Eagles fan; he says that Philly newspapers said that Eagles and Arizona re working on a trade for Fitzgerald.. Eagles probably have to give up their 1st rd and pay 14 million dollars for Fitzgerald..

Re: Fitzergerald to Eagles rumor...

the big thing is that the cards will take too big of a cap cost to let Larry go, same boat as the Bengals if they let Johnson go(which is why don't won't trade him).

Eagles eyeing Fitzgerald
Larry Fitzgerald | Cardinals
After losing out on free agents Randy Moss and Javon Walker, the Eagles will turn to Cardinals wideout Larry Fitzgerald, The (Wilmington, Del.) News Journal reported.
According to reports, despite the pursuit of Fitzgerald, the two-time Pro Bowler may be closer to staying in Arizona than exploring free agency. Roy Williams and Torry Holt are likely candidates if the Eagles don't land Fitzgerald.

Are you serious? Fitz is one of the few players in the league worth two #1 picks. Lito and a #2 is not even close to enough for Fitz. Lito is not worth any more then a #2 or #3 pick himself and the eagles are having trouble getting anything for him in trade right now. Fitz is already one of the best WR's in the league and he is very young. He has 10 more years of dominance still ahead of him.

Re: Fitzergerald to Eagles rumor...

Eagles offering pair for Fitzgerald?
Larry Fitzgerald | Cardinals | Interested: Eagles?
With receiver Fitzgerald and the Cardinals apparently at an impasse in restructuring his contract, will the team start listening to trade offers?
The Arizona Republic reports the Eagles are interested and cornerback Lito Sheppard and receiver Reggie Brown are rumored to be part of the offer.
But the Cardinals are not interested in either player, the newspaper reports. The team insists Fitzgerald will play this season, even if the Cardinals have to pay the scheduled salary of $14.6 million. But in 2009 they face the possibility of having to cut the Pro Bowl selection rather than pay the scheduled $17.4 million salary.

Fitzgerald staying put?
Larry Fitzgerald | Cardinals | Interested: Eagles? Eagles?
The Arizona Republic reported the Eagles are interested in Larry Fitzgerald and cornerback Lito Sheppard and receiver Reggie Brown are rumored to be part of the offer.

However, on Monday, The Philadelphia Inquirer reporterd a league source said Saturday night that the Eagles have talked to the Cardinals about Fitzgerald, but the discussions have never gone beyond an inquiry as to whether Arizona planned to trade its star wide receiver. The answer has always been the same - absolutely not

The team insists Fitzgerald will play this season, even if the Cardinals have to pay the scheduled salary of $14.6 million. But in 2009 they face the possibility of having to cut the Pro Bowl selection rather than pay the scheduled $17.4 million salary.
