Re: Monday Afternoon H-Back

The best way to get respect from people is to call them all idiots who can't form an independent thought. Good call, I imagine you'll get far on your quest.

Besides who needs the respect of a bunch of football ignorant numbskulls who don't know what the hell they're talking about???

In my experience, respect is earned over time. It's not something you win because you were right about a particular argument. If you have good insights, keep posting them. It's even fine to bump an old post and pat yourself on the back in a friendly / self-effacing manner, but you will NEVER gain respect by demanding it the way you're attempting to do here.

I've seen this time and time again on message boards and IRL, and I can certainly understand what you're trying to say, but this isn't the way to achieve what you want to achieve.

Just my .02.

Re: Monday Afternoon H-Back

Warriorz, why are you making this so personal? I mean I know what you said, but people here disagree every 2.5 seconds.

We've all been wrong and right about a ton of things. Shoot, Gibbs himself said he didn't even think the team was going to be in the playoffs after the Bills game.

Honestly, I don't know what you're talking about and why you're even stressing out about this.

If you feel like you've been disrespected, then you should let a mod know. But I honestly don't know how someone can get disrespected on a message board. Thats just me. I've been on this board for a couple of years now and not once have I ever felt disrespected.

Take it for what it is......its a message board.

I think you should just get over it and move on. I think you're taking it a little too personal.

So you took what Saunders said and ran with it.

Yeah whatever - it's the least some of you should do - after the crap like Collins is trash and all the crap that I should shut up and I don't know what the hell I'm talking about. As a matter of fact, you are still doing it. No - you don't know what the hell you are talking about. Some of you just don't get it and football sometimes. Yeah you think that I don't know what I'm talking about (with that sarcasm in the posts) - but here's the difference between me and some of you - I post stuff with a different insight and usually stray from the majority and go out on a limb sometimes - most of you stay safe and just regurgitate everything you read and hear. The big difference now is I have something that makes my words true.

So no I don't want anyone on my proverbial jock (of course most football fans are male anyways) - but quit the sarcasm and just give me and a lot of the posters on here that dissent from the majority thinking - some respect.[quote]

Then here you critcise people for just repeating things we read or hear. Whats the difference in us repeating what we read and hear and you doing the same thing with Saunders comments?

Here are some of Warriorzpath's posts:

http://www.redskinswarpath.com/182623-post83.html

http://www.redskinswarpath.com/182607-post76.html

Recurring theme seems to be "Hey he might be good, he might suck. But let's not write him off" Good for you for not throwing him under the bus as others may have, I suppose. But this isn't exactly groundbreaking stuff you said here. You need to get over yourself. RK3025 flat out said Collins needs to be starting to get this offense going, and he's not here gloating.

Quite honestly, I think that your quest for recognition is pretty pathetic. I think from now on anytime someone insists on getting credit for being right they should be required to also post in the "I Was Wrong When.." thread. A little humility never hurt anyone.

Warriorz, I didn't see anything where you just put it out there that Collins was going to be good. You did a lot of hedging from what I read. I don't see what you're so upset about.

Jeez I hope he's got something better than that.

All of this over that?

Ugh.

Hey! I said during pre-season that Collins looked different and was much more accurate. Where the hell is my "kudos"?!

I will have justice. You all have been warned.

Re: Monday Afternoon H-Back

Man if that's all you've got, that's weak.

Your position was hedging and noncommittal, at best. You said he might be good, he might not, and made sure to say that you weren't taking either position.

Of course you can come back and "gloat" and demands respect since you never really took a position that could be proven wrong in the first place.

Along those lines, I am going to predict that the Redskins may win the Superbowl, or they may not.

I'll be back to gloat and demand my props in a month or so.

Hey guys,

It's me again. The Todd. I mean... it's not like I've been saying it since day one. But whatever... Let the losers lose, and let the haters hate. I never doubted me for a second. BTW, that was no joke. The Collins caravan is just now taking off...
