Damn, where's Warrick Holdman when you need him [/sarcasm]

Seriously, this sucks.. I can see Snyder making a big play for Briggs since he won't be franchised this offseason and we basically had the parameters of a deal hammered out with Rosenhaus..

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

I agree that we'll pursue him, but we'll need to free up money. With Jansen in decline and coming off a serious injury, I wouldn't be surprised if he's asked to restructure in a big way.

That really sucks for Rocky. Feel awful for him.

As for what the Redskins should do...I'll just reiterate what I said a couple of weeks ago. I'd like to see us make a run at Karlos Dansby this offseason. For now Blades/K. Campbell have to step up as they did big time yesterday.

Randall Godfrey started for Marcus when he was hurt, but he was inactive last night. I'm sure they'll activate him this weekend. Won't he start in Rocky's place?

Yeah you could be right. God has been inactive a lot lately. (atheists nod their head in agreement).

Seriously though, I think Godfrey has been inactive the last few games. But then again, so was Macklin until yesterday.

Blades also provides much needed depth in light of Rocky's injury, who I would be shocked if he wasn't placed on IR next year.

Say what you want about Gibbs and staff, but the character he instills has held this team together through extraordinary circumstances.
The thing that sucks the worst is that we start the 2008 season 3 great defensive players short, Taylor, Rogers and McIntosh. We better draft very well to fill all our existing holes on top of those now.

Godfrey has been inactive for a few weeks, but he played very well in Marcus' place early in the season, and he's fresh. He'll fill in fine, and it's good to know Blades and Campbell can jump in there if we need them.

It sucks when our hope for next year is already taking a hit..
With the Taylor tragedy our top picks from the 04 05 and 06 draft all mite be inactive next season?? or for Rogers and Rocky at least the begining..With the way weve dealt picks in the past its a tremendous loss being set back 3 yrs worth of top picks..

We will find a way...we are due for some good fortune..finish the season strong and develop some players while we are at it.

There is hope. Look at the free agent finds we have had, Alexander, Heyer, Wilson, Mason. I'm sure that we have a few gems in our practice squad, maybe Sinclair, Trucks if we can get him back, Westbrook? We'll see.
