Re: Very proud of the team today even in a loss
As weird as it sounds, this loss feels WAY better than the loss to Philly last week.
That's saying a lot, given that we played Dallas.

I'm proud how they fought today. Damn I wish Taylor was there to wipe the smirk off TO's grill.

Re: Very proud of the team today even in a loss
We gave the game to Philly when it was there for the taking. At least we took Dallas' best punch falling behind by 12 in the 4th quarter, and damn near coming back to take the lead. Campbell barely missed Moss for that go ahead score. I'm very proud of Campbell's play today.

Re: Very proud of the team today even in a loss
When we lost to the Giants, it was all about allowing a team completely on the ropes to get back in the game, made even worse by a failure to convert when inside the 5 at the end of the game. When we lost to the Packers, it was all about a gazillion dropped balls and missed opportunities. When we lost to the Patriots, we all wondered how we could be that much worse than the best team in football. And when we lost to the Eagles, it was the Giants all over again.
But this was completely different. This was a loss where I thought, "Okay, this was nothing more than a tough game in which the opposition simply played a little bit better than us today." This was a road game against a very good team, and they won only because they were able to exploit our injuries. Nothing bad to be derived from this game, other than that we really miss our starters who are injured. That alone separates this from the other losses. This has to be a confident-boosting game, and not just for JC, but for the defense and the entire receiving corps as well. Atta boys! Now let's go beat those Bucs! Oh, and JC--my man--just work a little on leading your receivers. |

I might agree, and sure I was drunk TOTALLY, but seriously did that ball from Rocky hit the ground? I thought he had his arm underneath it.

Re: Very proud of the team today even in a loss
Ups to Matty. This was the team I thought we could yield this year. We were never going to be a 13 or 14 win team but I thought we could play like we did today all year. Maybe we can go forward and do what we did today play wise against everyone. If we do then we'll win our fair share.

EXACTLY. I dont think people go crazy after a loss like this; its the other types of losses we've had this year. We got outplayed by just a hair by the best team in the conference. I'm really upset/disspointed, but theres no shame in this loss like therew as last week/vs GB/vs NY/vs GB.

Re: Very proud of the team today even in a loss
I also am proud of the the team. But, I am concerned that the D is giving up the big play again. I know part of it is Sean Taylor's absense, but how do we let TO beat us for TDs three and four. Why didn't we stick him at the line every time after he burned us twice?

Re: Very proud of the team today even in a loss
Will someone remind me why we didn't pursue TO. Was it because
1) He'd tear the team apart (Cowboys look pretty tight.)? 2) Because he's lost a step. (Ask Shawn Springs about that)? 3) Because we only bring in character players (such as Brandon Lloyd.)?

If one of our moderators banned this sad and ignorant so-called Redskins fan there would be a loud cheer from those who love this team. Great contribution STEVEO395. Go and learn what an adverb is and how to spell "until."

Jesus Christ guys there is no such thing as a moral victory in this league. We lost against a top tier team. We shouldn't be happy or proud with losing. I've love this team and i can't take the losing anymore.

We deserved to win that game today. Too bad JC didn't just take off with the ball instead of forcing the bad throw at the end. He kicked ass and looked very cool back there. Only really bad things I got from the game was now I question the quality and depth of our secondary. No ST certainly hurt, but that 52 yarder TD by TO made Springs look really bad. I mean Prioleau should have done a better job at having Springs' back on that, but Shawn just let him blow by him. We need to draft more CBs I think next year. Nice job by Rocky with that almost INT also. I thought he had it. With the exception of the Giants I t hink we will win the rest of the games. Dallas is going to sit guys out for the 2nd round against us if they beat GB and run the table. They will have secured homefield advantage even if they lose to us. |
