Yeah in this case the parents were drunk and the Dad kicked the dog down the stairs, other than that it's just another day in the life of The Warpath.

Re: Jason Campbell vs. Vick
Welcome Pudge,
I do see us taking the Falcons this week (which has nothing to do with ANY type of.............Skins bias). JC is just figuring out which way is up. Kid is super cool under fire and can evade the rush. LOVE the way he drills the ball to the guys in stride. If you saw Cool last week. JC hit him over the middle in full gallop. I was thinking, there gonna have to net that man to stop him. When JC figures out where m Moss, Lloyd, and L are hiding, it's gonna be fun! I have always been a little disappointed in Vick. I don't know if it's him or the people who coach him. The most under utilized talent in the league. Always has been. The Eagles made it work with Cunningham. Maybe he's better in a Beefed up Randel El sort of role. Lots of money, and he probably wouldn't go for that. He's always been entertaining to watch, and puts a lot of people in the stands.

Re: Jason Campbell vs. Vick
Hi Pudge, I think someone else may have asked this already but what do Falcons fans think of the Duckett trade?

Re: Jason Campbell vs. Vick
welcome, and while i know the falcons are a strong running team, your defense hasn't played anywhere near a playoff teams defense. with Abraham and malloy, i thought you guys would be alot better. and yes, i know Abraham has been hurt. but the falcons are still underachieving.ummm, that sounds alot like the skins

Re: Jason Campbell vs. Vick
I think the skins will win this week. If they just contain Vick a little then there's nothing else Atlanta can do on offense. It will be tough but it can be done.
AZs for Vick vs Campbell, I'll take JC every time. He's much more of a pro style QB that has the potential to get better. Vick is as good as he will ever get (which is not that good) and he's only getting older. |

Re: Jason Campbell vs. Vick
you've got to question campbell's judgement after watching the carolina game, especially when he got picked off trying to go deep when the redskins were trailing 13-10 in the 4th quarter. let's hope it's nothing more than teething problems. all in all, he hasn't done too badly

Re: Jason Campbell vs. Vick
"Campbell is a breath of fresh air here, but the gameplan still seems as conservative as when Brunell was behind center. i'm sure its because they don't want Campbell making mistakes, but turning him into another Brunell isn't the answer. 3 games in is still too little to let him loose, so i expect the same conservative gameplan that needs the defense to show up for us to win."
I dont see any thing wrong with the way Campbell is playing. Balls are getting delivered to the right receivers, he ins't throwing balls away after looking at one receiver. He is going through his reads better than Brunell was. Gibbs said that the Randel El TD was like his 4th read. He is stepping up in the pocket better than Brunell. Turning him into another Brunell,,, I think NOT!! Campbell is throwing the ball down the field, attempting to complete long balls, he is throwing over the middle. throwing for more than 10 and 15 yards. I think as time goes on, he will open up a little more of the passing game, but they just aren't going to do that in the kids first couple of games. |

Delhomme's judgement is the judgement that should be questioned from that game, he SHOULD be better than that with all of the experience he has. I'm very confident in Campbell. |

I agree, Delhomme had a stinker against the Redskins, he did nothing for my fantasy team. :-) But I don't think that excuses Campbell's poor choice of plays at a crucial point in the 4th quarter when the Redskins were down 13-10, it could've cost Washington the match. As I say, I just hope it's nothing more than teething trouble and not something more fundamental. |

Re: Jason Campbell vs. Vick
reading NFL defenses separates good qbacks in this league from great ones. its all about experience

Re: Jason Campbell vs. Vick
As for the Duckett trade, I think generally most Falcon fans liked it. I however did not. I thought it was a mistake trading our most potent redzone weapon for a #3 WR. Lelie got off to a good start this year, which seemed to melt away my issues with the trade, but since the middle of the year has settled into the same inept malaise that the rest of our WRs have. I don't think it's a mere coincidence that the Falcons have struggled in scoring in the redzone all year long and not having Duckett on the roster.
I suspect Gibbs will give Duckett a chance this week to make the Falcons look really stupid, by giving him the ball 10-15 times and have him pound it down our throats. As for the board bickering, doesn't bother me one bit. Over at the FalcFans board, you'll see the exact same thing. In fact, makes me feel a lot more comfortable. Thanks for the responses on Campbell. I hope the Falcons win, but this team needs a really hard gut check, and I'm not sure going onto the road this week is optimal for it. |

Re: Jason Campbell vs. Vick
Hey Pudge, what's your take on Duckett?
What are his strengths? Weaknesses? Do you think he could be a #1 back in this league? |
