I hope you didn't mean that like you wrote it. He may be the only good white saftey in the NFL now, but you can be sure there will be more.

Randal El probably got more money than his production deserved...hopefully we got him on the upswing and he proves to be worth the loot down the line. He is the one I worry the most about though.

Ok, seriously.. I think Archuleta was a want signing moreso than a need signing. Hopefully the fact that he is playing more near the line will limit his lack of range and coverage skills. To the old-schoolers out there, remember, GW defense is patterned after the '85 Bears 4-6 defense. Gary Fencick was their 'Archuleta' and dude was a beast but he was not great in coverage. He played primarily near the line, blitzing the QB and blowing up RB out of the backfield. Love the Lloyd and Randle-El moves, excited about the Carter move. 2 moves I wish we had made, David Thornton and Ryan Longwell.

And why should the Redskins pay the richest contracts in the league for players and assistant coaches? Lets just have the owner of the most valuable most profitable franchise in all of sports pocket the change for himself. Money is what the Redskins have. We have an owner who uses it to our advantage. |

Re: What move would you have not made if you were GM?
At the time, a lot of us were skeptical of the trade. That's my main point. And the injury factor negates the statistical advantage somewhat.
Randle El hype this year vs. Santana Moss hype last year |

I'm not convinced Archuleta is worth a contract that makes him the highest paid safety in the league. He isn't even the best safety on his own team, let along the league. I'd rank him in the second tier of safeties actually.

Re: What move would you have not made if you were GM?
Archuleta because of the money. Randle El because of lack of upside.
