Disgraceful.
Wow, it almost sounds like when it comes to who you would “take” (or I guess vote for), if between Cain and Obama, you would base it off of the person’s political ideology, and not just based off of how black they are…. What a novel idea, voting for someone not based off of the color of their skin.

I read the Morehouse atile and didn’t see anything disgraceful in it, can you calirfiy? Also what do you mean when you say there are white people blacker than Cain? Do you not consider black conservitives, black?

Re: Meet The Candidates: 2012 GOP Thread

if reps want to win, they've got to dial down the crazy and stop saying stupid things.

Cain and Perry and Bachman are all jokes. They don't know what they're doing and are completely unqualified.

I'm just having fun watching the left attack Cain after they called everyone racist for saying anything negative about Obama.

Have as much fun as you want but last I checked the primary authors of the article Jonathan Martin and Maggie Haberman hardly qualify as the left.

Re: Meet The Candidates: 2012 GOP Thread

Nothing more than internal Republican politicos (no pun intended) trying to throw Cain off message and knock him down a notch. Dems have nothing to gain by leaking this story before the GOP has chosen it's nominee, so I think it was someone within conservative circles. Rove, Kristol, Perry camp. Take your pick.

These scandals usually gain traction when there's a name or face attached to said scandal. In this case you have neither, so to the extent that Cain can make the media appear to be more interested in tabloid stories rather than the economy, I think he survives and keeps on trucking.

You're wrong...clearly Martin and team Obama are scared of a real black candidate and have conspired to let a real white guy like Romney win the primary so he doesn't get the black vote so he is more easily defeated by Obama.

Perfect!

Re: Meet The Candidates: 2012 GOP Thread

Now that Cain has pretty much self-mutilated campaign you got to figure Mitt Romney is going to get the nomination...if he can overcome the "friendly fire."

Huntsman:

Mitt Romney, the pretzel candidate - The Washington Post

I can't wait for Obama et al to sink their teeth into him.

Problem is that Obama has to run on his record and a very poor record he has. His only real thing he can say he did well was killing a few terrorist leaders.

Yeah, just a few terrorists. No biggie, anybody could have done that. al-Qaeda has been crippled in the past three years. Libya? I'm sure that was pretty easy, too. Getting Arab, African, European countries, and the UN together on the same page, limited US involvement and costs. No biggie. Saving GM, yep, another so what. Just a million or so jobs saved.

You're right, he has nothing to run on, I think Cain or Romney would do a much better job.

Re: Meet The Candidates: 2012 GOP Thread

To smear is to slander, to slander is to falsely accuse someone of something. Politico has every right to ascertain the truth and to ask questions. Clearly there is something that took place and there was a settlement of some kind. Cain and his team were given a chance to clarify the story 10 days prior to publication and they have managed to change their story several times within 24 hours of publication.

This is a legit story and we are all welcomed to think whatever we want.

So now that Obama is in office al-Qaeda is finally been crippled. Sorry but tell that to the parents of the 13 that just died or the special forces that we lost a few months back. You do know the death toll is rising not going down? While I agree al-qaeda has been crippled it was not done in just 3 years it has been done in 9. I will not knock Obama for his fight there but don't act like its all because of him.

It's sad the US can't muster up a candidate worthy enough to be a half ass shitty President. Then again, the people that would be great candidates would never see the light of day due to political black balling and media favoritism.

It's simple as this. If you want to play ball on the big field, you better be prepared to keep the status quo.

Just curious:
- Who is it that you believe is being black balled or slighted due to media favoritism?
- What individuals would put forth as candidates for federal and State office?
- Who are the people you believe should be a candidate for President? For the North Carolina Governor & Senate?

You mean we should all give impractical people a forum? Maybe most of us have heard enough from these two clowns for the better part of two decades?
