Is Wentz the cream of the crop for this year, nope not by a long shot but its he best we can get. think of us as someone with bad credit and we need a used car, Wentz was the best used car on Eastern Motors lot that we could get with our credit and its a upgrade over the pile of junk we rolled in with (TH).

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
In the past Indy, more particularly Irsay, has deliberately tanked their QB position to get a good draft position, so I don't think anything can be discounted regarding their plans for the QB position. As for all of the negative PR against Wentz, some might be justified but a great deal is there to justify the owner getting involved in jettisoning the starting QB when there is no better option available.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
Idk how anyone can say Wentz is a me first guy.. His teammates all loved him, Frank Reich says he’s a class act and hard worker.
I think it has more to do with Irsay trying to find the next Manning , ever since Peyton left they have sucked (other than a couple healthy Andrew Luck seasons) Again I’ll say this, he was god awful against the Jags but so was Josh Allen.. Maybe the Jags D is better than people think.. I’d rather have Wentz all day over the rest of the QBs available and a rookie from a “weak class” of QBs.

Again going back to the used car comparison he is the best we could get with our current credit score.

You're definitely right there. I think I'm just frustrated realizing we are a bottom feeder franchise now that MULTIPLE players have seen very clear, under NO circumstances were they going to play for us. We're not going to be relevant until we get rid of that stigma and honestly, that's going to take 5+ years of being at least competitive but we all know, that's likely never going to happen. This why i was arguing with Rushkins earlier in the week about Russell Wilson ,ok maybe Seattle wanted him out of the NFC, I get it, but another major hurdle in any trade for any one of elite or good status is anyone wanting to come here. The Washington Commanders is a prime example of why super stars put in no trade clauses in their contracts.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
The team captain Darius Leonard said he hates to see him go..
If you watched hard knocks you would see that when that dude speaks the entire team listens.. I’ll take his words. Also at the end of the day being negative about Wentz won’t change the fact that he’s now QB1. Let’s support the dude for this season and if he works out to be the long term answer we should all be happy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm in wait-and-see mode on Wentz. I still think we'll end up somewhere in the middle - not quite good enough to play with the elite teams, not quite bad enough to get a top 5 draft pick. Clock is really gonna start ticking on Ron next year - I don't see Wentz being our next long term solution at all.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
You don’t get a complete Veteran QB for a couple of second round picks.
CW has the physical tools and is tough player in the pocket. All his weaknesses can be corrected or hidden with good coaching. Unfortunately for us, these coaches fucking suck. |

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
Frank Reich is a pretty good coach and couldn’t do it.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
CW will do fine here... all he's gotta do is master the hand off out of the shotgun... especially on 3rd and short
