Gibbs was/is better than Belichick. 3 SB w/ 3 QB's, 2 of them being average in talent. Could Belichick have won his SB's without Brady?

Re: Around the NFL: Conference Championships Edition

We could really rebuild our secondary with draft picks gained from trading RGIII and Cousins.

Then we can sign this guy to be our QB:

now certainly is the time to comeback. Several teams are going to be willing to try anything, and with his physical attributes if he sells that he "really wants it this time" I would be shocked if someone didn't give him a training camp shot.

JM is jus not NFL material. He can't even keep his weight in check. 300+ pounds is just ridiculous.

If you listen to Adam Schefter on the podcast (found on the right in that article), he mentions that dude is still over 300+ lbs. Yeah, he really wants it alright.

I read in Lotus' article he is at 307, from 320. Who knows if he wants it, but his quote acknowledges that he didn't want it when he left, and slowly the desire is back inside him. I kinda think of the Buffalo guard we brought in. It took a lot of discipline for him to get back to a playing weight, but he did. If Russell wants to go through all that, some team will give him a shot at it. Dead straight that if I had his original contract, and got shoved out of the league(I know it was his own fault that he's out of the league), I wouldn't even look back. But then I never have had the drive that makes up every professional athlete.

Re: Around the NFL: Conference Championships Edition

That slide was really a dumb move, and Brady easily could have had the same type collision Griffin had, or possibly worse. If he did it with any purposeful intent than that is even more boneheaded.

In all fairness its not ONLY about a qb. Gibbs had hall of famers all over the field. Riggo, Grimm, monk, green. Plus the rest of the hogs - a couple of which could be hof'ers. Gary Clarke, Mosely. Could Gibbs have won his superbowls without Bobby Beathard would be a fair question too. they are both great coaches.

NE will have their share of HOF, the same can be said about Pioli.

Agreed to a point, IMO Beathard was the best GM of all time. I know your not a big niners fan ( to say the least- lol) but do you know who their gm was during the 80's ? Seems like they had as much if not more great talent through free agency and the draft as the Skins did.
