Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Yup. Nice on both sides of the ball. A few mistakes, a few tough plays, but man, they just put up 21 on Baltimore in Baltimore. Hard not to be pleased!

Sexy Rexy is my man, sexy rexy yes he can!!!! You can't beat experience and demeanor on a football field. Grossman is a vet of the old black and blue division. He has been through those wars. Beck hasn't seen any "live" action.

Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Rexy giveth, but the problem is Rexy has a tendency to taketh away. Good Rex lures you in, bad Rex breaks your heart.
But still, I feel pretty good with either, to be honest.

Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
The Redskins did a very good job against a playoff team. What frustrates the hell out of me is seeing those two stupid penalties that extended the drives. Although the DBs played terribly in those extended drives, you can't give freebies to good teams.
I do HOPE that this performance means that we will be able to beat lower quality teams. And I hope the defense fixes those issues (DBs lack of communication and the stupid penalties) so we can compete with the elite teams. The last couple of years the Ravens have killed us in these games. Today wasn't the case when the starters were playing.

Rex looked like he could stay in and get the ball out with pressure very well... Beck is the one who panicked in the pocket with just a little pressure (underthrew Moss by 5 yards)

Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Beck's only had 3 pass attempts -- let's not be too quick to judge him

Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
That quick slant that Beck threw into the ground when Moss was wide open makes me a bit nervous that he has scaredy feet.
That play has to be a firstdown!!!!! That was a nice simple play to make and he junked it. Grossman stands strong in the pocket (sometimes a detriment) and delivers the ball. 2nd half should be all Beck, he needs to get more than 3 passes. |

Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
True, but MS has to make a decision soon. And Rex took advantage of the opportunity he was given. If Beck is that good, then we have a good back up who could start if Rex doesn't pan out. But right now, I feel that Rex has done all he can to win the starting job.

Feeling a little heat coming up the middle or around the corner... Rex should be more comfortable facing, whereas Beck could be a little/a lot more uncomfortable

Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Definitely think no matter who starts they are going to be waaaayyyy better than McNabb. The more I hear about him the more it makes me sick.
