He changes his mind every time the wind blows a different direction. Unfortunately for me where I drive and the time I do it he seems to be what I get most often flipping channels on the radio.

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?

Am in the "Haskins has not earned a year's start". Win it in camp, ok. I can see tons of reasons for taking Young or Tua but the Haskins' right to a year's evaluation isn't there. While Rivera may have been hired with the understanding of developing Haskins he just as well may have an understanding that if there is a QB out there he wants he can get him. As for getting a 1st rounder for Trent, Skins blew that chance last year.

Read somewhere in here that Haskings even when he looked good did so only with the help of some terrific work from WRs. I agree and do think he looked like the future in any game he played last year. Does not mean taking Tua at #2; would have to be called still in the Chase Young crowd. But if we traded up into round 2 and Love was there I would be all for it except that we have more pressing needs. Should be fascinating.

There might be only 5 qb's in the entire world that look good without the help of their WR's.

Haskins progressed enough from his first two games to his last two games to earn the opportunity to keep progressing this year.

Agreed. Heck, Brady left New England because of a lack of weapons. What's that tell you?

Because it's the NFL, and due to the elite talent in the secondaries, you expect your wide receivers to make fantastic plays for you. "Open" in the NFL, is a relative term.

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?

We obviously cant fix the secondary in one year, but I think drafting CY makes it less important to do so. if the front four are getting to the QB then he wont have a chance to throw it deep, and the linebackers can drop and fill the short intermediate routes. But if I knew anything I would be coaching so.....

If Manusky or any other old defense coordinators from the last few years is still our defense coordinator then I would prefer for us to trade down.

Like I said, I'm fine with Chase , Tua or trading down... Why not take a kings ransom and get 3 1st round picks??

Sounds like Miami is saving that ransom to try and trade to #1. I don't blame them either.

If they really offered all 3 first round picks I'd drive Tua to Miami myself for them. But they aren't doing that

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.
