He is more of a fit for the Pats honestly

Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
Yeah, a number of mocks have the Pats taking Jones if he falls to them.
I reckon the 49ers will take Wilson if the Jets don't, else Fields. They could take Lance and have him sit a year, but I'm thinking if you make that trade you do it for someone that's pretty much a day 1 starter. Especially if you can get a decent trade for Jimmy G. |

Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
Of course he has athleticism. I think you're confusing athleticism with mobility.

- highly efficient executor and ball distributor in a really good Alabama offense - main question - how important to you are movement and second reaction ability? In today's NFL you constantly hear that this has become an essential trait. - because Mac Jones is a bad athlete, almost no ability to play outside structure whatsoever - very good sense of anticipation, good timing - some pocket movement, not great, but enough that it's not a negative - really good feel for throwing in zone coverage - knows where to go with the ball quickly - a lot of good mental traits, but also virtually no movement and second reaction traits. - need to understand what he is and what he isn't when you draft him |

More and more buzz about 49ers and Jones. Shanahan and crew heading to Bama for their pro day tomorrow. Could be a huge smoke screen .... or maybe not. https://clutchpoints.com/49ers-news-...abama-pro-day/ It should probably be said Shanahan is alluding to the 49ers not wanting other teams to be readily aware they were trying to move up way up the board before their blockbuster trade was done. Either way, there appears to be a growing amount of buzz regarding the potential for the 49ers to make Jones the third overall pick. Chris Simms of NBC Sports suggested Jones could be an ideal fit for Shanahan’s system in San Francisco: https://twitter.com/CSimmsQB/status/...839052804?s=20 |

Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
True but it also describes about 1000 other guys who never panned out. Personally Id take Mac if he falls to us, but I won’t be upset if he doesn’t. You just never know until you know. Regardless of what the scouts say. Some people have it and some do not. Such a crap shoot. |

Good, don't want to see another year of him dropping easy catches

Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
I never had a problem with him. He did his job as a blocking TE.
I actually saw him make a 4-yard catch in a game I went to, a rare occurrence. To be fair, Haskins was throwing a lot of those passes. That hurt everyone's catch %.

Sprinkle should have just put on 50 lbs in college and been a tackle.

Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
No way did the 49ers trade up to 3 to take Jones. They're either taking Wilson or Fields.

Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
Per walking human turd Mike Florio...NFL is planning to move the SuperBowl to President day weekend now with the 17 game schedule. This would be a longtime coming imo
