IMO if you are taken that high in the draft you should be contributing to the team before week 12, his absence from the lineup in light of the fact that Walt Harris was getting consistently burned was worthy of debate. |

It's pretty tough to use the transitive property on draft positions from year to year... taylor was considered by many to be the best safety prospect to come out since ronnie lott. this year, there was argument as to whether rogers was even the best CB in his own draft... although taylor's draft position (5) is close to rogers' (8), there was a distinct difference in pro readiness after college.
