Re: Skins-Cowboys Post Game Thread
Josh Norman is clearly the best player on the defense, 2nd best on the team. He's worth the $$ and is in his prime that's a huge deal for us. So much for breeland and his great OS lol he's toast

Re: Skins-Cowboys Post Game Thread
You gotta imagine that this off season and draft will be focused on improving the defense, specifically the front 7. I like the guys as they play hard, but we need more talent there. Not including the OLBs, Chris Baker should not be your best player between the d-line and MLBs. We could/should have 4 new starters out of those 5 players next year.
Cravens needs to be on the field. He should be the starting SS. Breeland is slumping, but I have faith in him. I think with an improved front 7 we could have one of the better secondary's in the league. As the defense stands this year, we need to score a lot more points to win. Not going to do that with how Kirk is playing this year so far. If he keeps playing like this its going to be a loooooong season.

Agree. He is elite and has shown it the first two games.

Re: Skins-Cowboys Post Game Thread
Kirk cost us the game with the INT, but (and I hate to whine) we should have had a 1st and goal when the refs ignored the hold on Garcon's jersey. And we should have stopped them on their TD drive when the refs called a very bogus roughing the passer call.
I actually thought we had a chance when we got the ball back. Just like the Skins to rip my heart out at the end. |

On a serious note, i do believe they will switch QB's once eliminated because Cousins INT by INT is playing himself out of Washington with every poor game. At least we all agree that we are gluttons for punishment coming in here after a bad loss....

Re: Skins-Cowboys Post Game Thread
Problem with kirk is, in order for us to get a good QB we are going to have to suck ass and I don't really want that. This team has too much talent to be losing like this. It's sad. But then again it's the redskins

Re: Skins-Cowboys Post Game Thread
We had a lot of positives this week to go along with all the repeated negative ones. Losing our NT on the opening play didn't exactly set our D up for a win. I liked that they finally allowed Josh to move around. I'm so happy to see us spend money, and get something in return (fingers crossed). We have a lot of work to do, and hopefully Kirk can shake off the cobwebs and get this thing firing. There is no way we can keep this offensive talent together for too long.
P.S. Was I the only one secretly happy that AlfMo scored? I'm still pissed that we let him go.

What I saw today from Kirk makes it hard for me to believe we can regularly win games and make the playoffs with him as the QB. The direction of our season hinges on the next game. Lose that one and that puts us at 0-3 (0-2 in conference) and to me would effectively end our season. Hopefully Kirk can really step it up. Today was just so deflating. So many points were left on the field.

Re: Skins-Cowboys Post Game Thread
I think kirks rust is more an indictment of not playing more snaps in the preseason. I do expect this team to get better each week but u can't always start slow and grow.
Next draft and off season the dline and center need to be a focus Sent from my S6 Edge |
