Re: Anyone bothered that McNabb STILL has no new contract??
They're not going to let him walk unless he proves he is just a complete disaster, and I don't see that happening. He's struggled as of late but we're not exactly helping the cause with poor protection at times and drops by the receivers. He'll get on track, not worried.
W/L record is what really counts, and all I know is a year ago we were 2-5 and in a free fall. |

Re: Anyone bothered that McNabb STILL has no new contract??
Im hoping that we draft an "Aaron Rodgers" and let him sit behind Mcnabb for 3 years then he will be our Qb for the future. Mcnabb is just our Game manager Qb for the next few years. If Mcnabb doesnt want to sign with us we will franhchise him and trade him. IMO Mcnabb sucks, but He is a good enough QB to win games Until we find the Franchise QB that we draft.

For what it's worth, Peyton's agent said they weren't doing a deal until after the season's over, so I would imagine that would affect McNabb's contract negotiations.

I'm sure it will be brought up, but If I'm Bruce Allen, I laugh in his agent's face if they ask for anything approaching Peyton money.

Re: Anyone bothered that McNabb STILL has no new contract??
Still better than anything we've seen around here in at least 10 years, if not more. McNabb on his worst day is still better than the crop of noodle-arm crapola QB's we've had on their best days. He is a leader and the rest of the team rallies around him. There are intangibles that he brings other than just his on the field performance (which I think will improve as the season progresses). That being said, he did suck ass yesterday.

Re: Anyone bothered that McNabb STILL has no new contract??
Is anyone really surprised about his bounce passes? He has been throwing those since day one in Philly. Since he played basketball in college, I think he forgets he is on the football field at times.
However, the best option we have is McNubb. Period.

I heard the same thing about 8-10 games and agree with your assessment.

Re: Anyone bothered that McNabb STILL has no new contract??
I honestly believe our Defense can overcome "Some" of McNabbs mistakes...we are a turnover causing and sack machine.
What helps having Mcnabb over many other QB's is his ability to make things happen when they break down and the huge plays in crunch time. Yes,he had a bad game, but we still won. But he will also have those games where he lights it up. I don't want Mcnabb to play conservatively or scared because of bad plays... We had that in Soul Glo for way too long and that didn't take us anywhere. I want a QB that doesn't play scared....Plays to win Kind of like Rypien,Williams and Theismann...remember those guys?
