You could be right Wolf...The second paragraph of my post is the actual wording of the rule, it does not specify beyond member clubs contact. There could be other wording to further specify in more detail.....I'll search.

Re: Albert Haynesworth and His Trainer

I didn't know where to put this or if it's in our forum yet but it is a good article that covers a lot of our current questions concerning:

*Jason Campbell to Oakland.

*Allen on Albert Haynesworth

*Allen on free agent LB Rocky McIntosh

*Allen believes seventh-round pick Terrence Austin could be the Redskins’ starting kick returner.

*Fourth-round pick Perry Riley will play inside linebacker in the Redskins’ new 3-4 scheme

*The Redskins will attempt to sign between two and six undrafted free agents

Bruce Allen recaps the Campbell trade and draft - Redskins Journal

Oh yeah... forgot to quote... and it's a quote from Allen actually, but obviously.. he's talking about what Shanny's plan for Albert is ...

from Redskins Insider...

...The Redskins sent Campbell, their starter for three-plus seasons, to Oakland for a fourth-round pick in the 2012 draft, but retained the disgruntled Haynesworth, who does not want to play nose tackle in the team's new 3-4 scheme. Allen reiterated that the Redskins expect Haynesworth to be with them this season. "Believe me that Albert's agent has known from the first week the league year started what the thoughts were," Allen said. "We know where Albert stands and he knows where we stand. We look forward to having him have a productive season."

too me though, allen saying "we know where albert stands and he knows where we stand" is not the same as your earlier post:
Quote:
Shanny has clearly stated, even just since Friday, that his stance is firm as far as how they are going to play Albert at NT plenty...
imo, allen is talking about their stance as it pertains to how they feel about albert missing voluntary workouts, not about his defensive position.
matter of fact i just read somewhere that the skins plan on using albert at nose tackle, defensive tackle and defensive end.

Re: Albert Haynesworth and His Trainer

as for haynesworth, he just got a 20 mill dollar bonus. him not coming to voluntary camps shows what he's all about. it's all about the dollars with him while he buys up his speed boats. lets be real, he is not focussing on football. if he were he would be coming to ashburn to get to know the new defense and show he is a leader. it also is saying something that we could not get a 2nd round draft pick for him. i don't think any team is seeing him as a good situation.

i feel like i'm defending albert alot and thats not my intention. i really wish and feel like he should be at redskins park with his teammates but in his, here i go again, defense he did have his most productive season after training on his own with the same guy he's training with now. hopefully he shows up in great shape and has a great season.

Re: Albert Haynesworth and His Trainer

i agree he should. but history shows when they get paid they lay back and slack. the fact he is not showing up and the fact we can't get a 2nd rounder for him draft day shows something.

Re: Albert Haynesworth and His Trainer

it was also mentioned before we signed him that he was playing a career year during a contract year and he would be a problem after. don't overlook that. i like him when he is playing, i hate him when he is tired and acting like his knee is blown out cause he is tired and needs to sit. we all saw that last year.

Re: Albert Haynesworth and His Trainer

The notion that Albert is simply lazy, and therefor skipping voluntary workouts, is...effing retarded. By all accounts he's using his own money (I'm sure all that individual training doesn't come cheap) to be in top condition for this season.

I mean this Haynesworth controversy has really been cast in the wrong light IMHO. Look,we've got the most dominant defensive player in the game on our roster, and he's committed to being the best he's ever been. The real controversy is why our coaching staff isn't building the defense around Haynesworth.

- By keeping the 4-3 system we would be just a player or two away from sheer dominance. A legit top FS alone would probably have been enough.

- The defensive roster (still) doesn't look like a 3-4 defense on the verge of greatness. Most of our guys are tailor made for the 4-3...like big Al.

- The notion Shanny/Haslett can devise such a brilliant 3-4 scheme that they can 1) waist the best defensive player in football and 2) basically go against the grain of the roster, and somehow expect a better outcome than simply shoring up a position or two in the 4-3, is r i d i c u l o u s.

Re: Albert Haynesworth and His Trainer

are you serious? please look at the history and the facts. he played hard in a contract year, played when he felt like it last year, and has created controversy this year. weather you want to accept it or not he was shopped for a late 1st round pick in this draft and nobody wanted any parts.

Re: Albert Haynesworth and His Trainer

I care most about what he produces on the field...I hope that he is a monster at us for NT or end or wherever we place him this season. he just needs to be disruptive to free up the RAK! he may not be happy playing NT...but hey...i'm sure he'll do just fine. What should he care where he plays anyways? If his ultimate goal is winning a championship he should focus on what to do that is best for the team.
