The problems do run deeper than Brunell. But with the playoffs out reach, time to give Ramsey his shot. I've been for "staying the course", but we need to see if Ramsey is our future or go a different direction next year. Brunell is not the answer.

I agree, I think it's only a matter of time before we see Ramsey.

By the way, did anyone notice who was hugging Brunell after he hit Portis for the "game winning TD"? Yep, it was Ramsey. I dunno I just thought it was pretty cool.

I guess we're all down on the field and in the huddle seeing Brunell dogging it huh?

Brunell is the easy scapegoat, but I've got news for the Brunell haters, there are problems that go deeper than just who's under center right now.

If Ramsey was the magic wand that would turn this around, don't you think Gibbs would go to him?

I'm not saying Brunells not playing hard, I'm sure he's playing hard, and I'm not questioning his effort. I'm questioning his skill, or lack there of. There are problems deeper than who's under center, but common, Brunell overthrew a ton of open recivers that would have resulted in points, and one time a touchdown. Brunell just dosent have it anymore, I dont know any other way to put it. He hasent done anything all year, to make me think otherwise. The only people that are saving him are Gardner and Coles who have made some AMAZING catches. To respond to the last point, I dont think Gibbs is going to go Ramsey, because hes embaressed that he made a 43 million dollar mistake. Common Matty, do you really think Ramsey could be any worse than Brunell is right now? Even if he is just as bad, at least we find that out now, so we can get another QB in the offseason rather than suffer through anohter season with a incapable QB, if Ramsey cant get it done?

I am beside myself with these awful calls. There is no more painful way to lose a game than when the officials are involved and that makes two of those games for the Skins this year. That motion penalty was complete BS and to top it off by missing the hold on Gardners jersey on the very next play is just inexcusable. I don't see how they can miss it when the guy who did it ends up with the interception. Isn't that right where they should have been looking? Awful awful awful...

Yeah I just saw that on primetime. I heard those two were really good friends on the team, so I gotta imagine its pretty hard for Ramsey as well as Brunell. I'm glad they have a good relationship, and when Ramsey goes in, which I think is inevitable at this point, I hope Brunell shows the same support Ramsey has shown him.

Brunell is playing hard. He just can't get the job done. Time for a change. I've been patient with Gibbs' decisions, but now he needs to give Ramsey a shot. If Ramsey stinks up the joint the next few weeks, then at least we know what's on our off-season shopping list.

I just hope these things do not start getting to the players. to have one game taken away by bad calls is bad enough but two in less than half of the season. Essentially for a WR to be caught in a penalty situation like that he is going to have to hit the LOS running at the snap. That would be an instant call just like an offsides not 1 or two minutes later after a TD. Just wrong.

In my mind every call should be challengebale especially in the last 5 minutes of a game at the officials discretion. The fact that blatent things like these are not challengable is detrimental to the game in general.

Gibbs will go to Ramsey soon, trust me.

He had an open competition in training camp and he would have started Ramsey from day one if he proved to be the man. Nothing has changed, a players contract isn't going to effect his decision as to who plays and who doesn't. It's just ridiculous to suggest that.

Who knows how we'd be with Ramsey playing. Probably not much better. In case anyone forgot he looked completely lost in the preseason, so lost in fact he couldn't outplay Brunell who wasn't exactly a worldbeater himself. Often he was throwing behind WR's and sometimes throwing to a spot where there wasn't even a receiver in sight.

I like Ramsey, but I just don't think he's ready in this system yet.

Those calls just hurt. I was at a bar outnumbered 20+ Packers fans to 5-6 Skins fans. Having to endure them all game to lose like that was tough. Let's just say we were booing loudly at the end of game. If they blew us out, I'd tip my cap, but I can't accept a loss like this.

I've tried looking at the "penalty" that cost the skins the game today as objectively as possible, but there was no f-ing penalty. If the score had counted there was still time left for the pack to have tried to win, but we'll never know. It's so freakin frustrating that we've had 2 games practically stolen from us by those not actually playing the game and have lost one game by coughing up the ball a bunch and another with piss-poor clockmanagement. Brunnel's play today was kinda iffy but I really want to see Ramsey given atleast a shot now since things are looking very bleak for the team.

why you think he's gonna change soon Matty? Gibbs seems convinced that as limited as Brunell's arm is, everything else he has, experience, mobility etc. gives us more of a chance to win than Ramsey.

personally, i'd rather have Ramsey in too, but Gibbs practices both QB's every week, and he sees them both under center vs. one of the top defenses in the NFL. ours.

I saw it on the highlight's defiently a great sign of character, class, and a winner by Ramsey.

Actually Matty, Ramsey saw the flag on the other side of the field and figured he was finally going to get his chance to play, he was thanking Brunell.

While I agree withj just about everything said so far, the one thing that wasn't mentioned was the fact that we wouldn't even have had the chance to be in the position to win the game if it wasn't for Shawn Springs. Once again, our defense gave us the opportunity to win and our offense let us down. The call was the worst I've seen so far this season and the way the season is going for us, there might be a worse one waiting to be called. All I can say is I'm majorly frustrated.

Can anyone even somewhat explain what the officials could have possibly thrown that flag for?

I think once the season is all but officially done we'll see a change. Or maybe not until we're mathematically eliminated, who knows. But as long as the games are close and Brunell doesn't revert back to completing less than 10 passes for 80 something yards he'll keep the job.
