That is because the Cavaliers have not had a quarterback since 2003.

Exactly. I do watch UVA games and KO is very good. He didn't have anyone throwing him the ball and he was out due to injury for a full year. Very good player though.

Marques Hagans did throw the ball to him a bit i believe.

Re: Marko Mitchell vs. Kevin Ogletree

I know this will get some heads rolling, but I think I've found some peace with Vinny.
I think he runs a good scouting and draft team that can identify late round talent, and especially recently with Mitchell and Horton.
For me it's always been Snyder that pisses me off. I think Vinny simply doesn't bite the hand that feeds him, so to speak.
I really like the Mitchell kid, and can't wait to see him on end zone packages and catch one over Kenny Phillips in Week 1.

YouTube - Marko Mitchell and Antwaan Randle El on NFLTA
Eloi was the butter-fingered man in that video.

Re: Marko Mitchell vs. Kevin Ogletree

Ogletree won this season; however i think we can expect big things from Marko Mitch in the future. As of right now this is my WR depth chart:

Ogletree:
REC
7
YDS
96
AVG
13.7
TDS
0

Marko:
REC
4
YDS
32
AVG
8.0
TDS
0

I place Marko above Kelly in terms of depth and I think it should be interesting battle with Mitchell and Kelly going into next season.

Will be interesting to see how Shanny handles this. Kelly has nice hands, but can't get separation. Marko supposedly has better st. speed but doesn't get in & out of breaks well. At least that's what I remember hearing during camp.

I wouldn't mind if Marko moved up the depth chart.

I keep praying that whoever Shanahan brings in as WR coach will be able to coach them up for next year and not the mere fact that they were busts. Especially Thomas and Kelly since they saw more field then Marco.

Enough already with Marko Mitchell. Dude is not as good as you'll think he is otherwise he would be on the field.

With a normal coaching staff that would be true, I honestly believe we under utilized every player on our team though. The only positive about that is you know what level of natural talent you have on the team. I hope this next crew finds away to coach players above their basic abilities and get many of them to that next level.

or how about Markos twin?

It's way to early to give up on him but he has to show flashes against an NFL team before people should get their hopes up.

Re: Marko Mitchell vs. Kevin Ogletree

Come on now, even I bit into the Marko is great crap during the preseason, but he isn't going to be the next Clark, Monk, Saunders, Sheppard, Ellard, or even Westbrook for that matter. Our WR sucks past Moss in terms of depth. Without Moss and our great TEs JC wouldn't have surpassed Frerotte in both yards passing and Skin career passing TDs this season. If the guys can't get seperation, it is a matter of speed and agility, not much a coach can do there. Mitchell was from Nevada, which runs the run heavy Pistol offense, not to mention he was a 6th rounder. Face it Thomas and especially Kelly were non factors at all this year. Kelly didn't get any production til after we hit the what 10th loss? These guys are lame period!!!

Totally agree, this guy hasn't produced squat in a real game and he is below a guy that didn't produce squat til the season was a total waste. Our WR corp sucks past Moss. ARE has underachieved. Thomas did improve over '08 so he might have some future utility. Kelly didn't do anything til we achieved loss #9 or #10, and Marko is below this guy on the depth charts. I rather have Rod Gardner and Westbrook back than these bums.
