Good stuff GTripp! I think the o-lineman stat would be interesting.

I thought the Kelly throw was actually a good call, if only he pushed it out a couple yards further so Kelly could run under it.

I thought so, too. A quality throw and we had a big gainer, maybe even 6 points.

Offense

Drive I & II (before and after the fake punt)

  • It's incredibly important to remember that the entire difference between the offensive performance of the first team against the Steelers vs. the Ravens is a successful fake punt
Defense

  • Poor Charlie Batch. On one play, he evaded Andre Carter, Brian Orakpo, and Albert Haynesworth who all had beaten their blocks, and then he ended up getting piledriven anyway by C. Griffin. This is Redskins football.
  • I think the first part was brilliant by JZ. Sometimes a coach needs to light a fire under his team. Get a spark any way you can. It worked( kind of) for that drive as the O came back out and drove the rest of the way down the field. Yes it ended in 3, but this was the #1 defense in the league last year and we proved that we could move the ball on them. Huge improvement from last week, especially in the run game.

To the second bolded part, and I dont mean to nitpick, but if you watch the game again you will see that Batch didn't avoid AH. Actually AH had him around the ankles right before CG nails him.

Anyway, very good read sir. Very good indeed.

Is asking for a passing TD from Campell too much? Just one. It's a start.
