Why is it that almost everyone who has commented on this thread hasn't taken the time to read the article or the original post?

Did I say Parcells wanted to come here? Did I say he should or will?

Agreed. That was part of my argument when a few people suggested this topic wasn't thread worthy.

I'm disappointed. Rather than some intelligent discussion about Parcells' situation, this thread has fizzled into smart ass comments and people questioning my even bringing up the topic. Sigh.

At least we all know who to PM here before we make a thread now.

Seriously DK, grow up, just because you don't agree with it doesn't mean that it's useless to discuss the possibility of. If you were that smart, you might be the GM.

Apparently the Lions, Jets, Browns and Raiders are all interested in Parcells. It would be kind of cool to see him go to Detroit. Their fans deserve a winner for once.

Laugh all you want but if Parcells goes to the Raiders or Browns either one of those teams would make the playoffs. Both teams have a lot of talent, the problem is the FO.

The Danny loves the current arrangement, because he has some say in personnel matters. With Parcells, he would have to hand over all authority, and unfortunately that ain't happening.

Yeah, Lil' Danny tried that back in 2001 when he reluctantly handed the keys over to Marty Schottenheimer. That lasted about a year.

On draft day in the war room, Parcells wouldn't let Lil' Danny in the room.

Agreed. Czabe had an interesting idea today on the radio - the best thing for the skins would be for Danny to fire Cerrato and not hire a replacement. By getting rid of the "insulation" Danny would have full control like Jerry Jones. After a year or two, Danny would be forced to realize how horrible he was and learn to stay out of his GMs way.

Personally, i think even Cerrato would be a better GM if danny were not so involved. As a fan, i understand Dannys desire to be involved in things. If i were a billionaire, i'd buy the redskins and get as involved in this stuff as I could too... but its simply not his forte.

If parcells did come here, it would be nice though. Unlike Gibbs and Cerrato, he would have the balls to tell Danny to back the h--- off.
