The Redskins need to stop leaving teams in games. We can 'outplay' everyone, but if we keep it within 7 points you will lose some of those games. This is an offensive game now, the offense gets a lot of rules in their favor. Really, had the Browns not gone for it on 4th down (then Portis may have never fumbled, but that's the what-if game) it very well could have gone to overtime (or lost if he hits that final FG.)
i'd bet that the majority of those complaints were the patriots running the score up like they obviously did were'nt they?the skins should NOT set out to break records intentionally, but if they have a good shot at breaking it,why should they let up?zorn nor gibbs would have ever run the score up like that asshole belichik did last year.

He could have just titled it "Beware of the Lions" then. Plus, it could have just gone in the "Are the Lions Really That Bad?" thread.

But whatever

Re: Blowing out Detroit

I'm just sort of thinking that we're not that type of team to blow anyone out. We should win but I just don't see a blow out. Our offense just isn't capable of putting up 35 + points. But I think we should score in the low to mid 20's and they'll be in the mid teens.

That is my point about being concerned about the team. WE need to score more if we are going to make a serious run. We will not beat The Steelers with only scoring 14 or the Gmen in round #2 for that matter.

Re: Blowing out Detroit

You know what ? I know what 52-7 felt like. I remember what 36-0, 37-0, 45-10, and 41-7 felt like too. Those were a list of a couple other times the Skins were blown out dating back to 1998. I wonder if their fans gave a shit how WE felt. FUCK THEM. If the players feel like shit, sorry. You don't care about the opponent when you're celebrating either. No one is saying to go for it on 4th down like Belibitch did last year while running the score up. If they get blown out then they do. But to say that I should have some kind of remorse because I know what it's like as a fan to watch a blow out ? Hell fuck ass no !

I hope the Skins beat the Dogshit out of the Lions on Sunday, just like I hope for every game.

A) This thread should be locked. Nothing being discussed here that can't fit in another thread.

B) We aren't scoring nearly enough, so I am concerned.

Re: Blowing out Detroit

we've lost to one winless team this season, i dont want to make it two....

offense, get the head, out of the ass... convert key third downs and put TD's on the board... Suisam, stop missing FG's. one per game is not going to cut it man ....

whoever said we are not capable of putting up 35 points .... thats a joke... the talent on this team, coach zorn included, can do that EVERY game if they executed properly.

If we don't win this week by a few, and dominate the game, i would be more concerned than I am now with leaving teams in games. B/C down the stretch that won't fly... but I beleive in Zorn fixing the scoring problem ASAP.
'Nuff Said.

Re: Blowing out Detroit

Let's also remember just like arizona for some reason detroit can never beat us. So just this once cause the lions are much worse than the rams and browns, Let' stick it to 'em stop being vaginas and really kick there ass before we really have to play against pittsburgh.

We have'nt so far but, We're capable a couple plays here and there and we could've pulled away in most of our wins. Let's take the no one touched reggie brown play for example. Or going prevent against the cowboys and saints and giving them points, Hell if Portis does'nt fumble no reason we don't keep runnning and win 21-3. We can do it just need a couple breaks.

Re: Blowing out Detroit

That loss to the Cowgirls in '89 STILL hurts. Shut up about it.

We WON'T be the 1 win for Detroit this year (if they get one). They're far worse than even that Dallas team.

Re: Blowing out Detroit

Well... I really don't care that other fans should be upset if we blow them out. If there had been a pats fan last year that told me he was sorry and thought his team was classless I'd have thought he was a bitch.

I was upset @ the fourth down play in the redzone up by >30 pts. That was just absurd and showcasing the fact that they had no respect for us at all. It was a statement and I hope they get throttled by every team with a chance for decades to come.

I think we can blow them out with a little class, but at the same time I'm not gonna lose sleep if they get their feelings hurt.

If we don't stomp them, our team needs a lot of work. It won't be because they're a wounded animal. Unless they're a wounded bunny rabbit. They pretty much just die at the thought of being wounded.
