Re: Draft Forum open for business
ESPN - 2008 NFL Draft
Here's a link to Scouts, Inc. big board. There are a no. of guys to watch in tonight's game; Highsmith, Golston & Jenkins to name a few. Seems in this draft there are more good defensive players, but there are a few underclass O linemen coming out, which could help us get a gem in the 3rd round & beyond. |

Re: Draft Forum open for business
I hear they like USC DE Lawrence Jackson but taking him with the 21st overall pick would probably be too high and he probably won't last until their 2nd round pick. They'll probably hope he falls if they don't take another DE in the first round, but don't seem likely to trade up to get him.

It would be sweet if we could actually trade down w/our 1st & get another pick, move back to get jackson early in the 2nd. |

Re: Draft Forum open for business
Its fun to speculate but I think I've made a correct prediction on 1 draft pick the skins have made in the last 20 years and that was Heath Shuler. I'm wrong every year and not even close. I can't even guess position. Oh well.
I think this years draft depends a little on Sean Springs. There's word out there that he doesn't expect to be back. I don't think we can go out there w/out a legit #1 cover corner next year. Drafting one is hit or miss too sometimes. Our needs in no order are: Playmaker at WR, DE, Oline depth At the 21 first position, you can get a good player but its hit or miss. |

Re: Draft Forum open for business
We have Heyer and Lorenzo Alexander will converted to G, we need OL but not with the first 2 picks.

no, they compensate you for losing players to other teams, not death...

Re: Draft Forum open for business
i don't think we'll get any comp picks... if we do, it'd only be something like a 7th anyways, not worth caring about. I don't think ST counts in that, but we haven't really seen that situation before, so who knows.

Re: Draft Forum open for business
There's been some confusion so I want to clarify. Matty's announcement was about our annual launch of the NFL Draft Central forum
http://www.redskinswarpath.com/nfl-draft-central/ All draft discussion should be discussed in the above forum. The same rules (see our guidelines) apply in the draft forum. Matty's announcement called for all draft talk to be held in the NFL Draft Central forum, not specifically in this thread. In fact, to avoid further confusion I will lock this thread

Re: Draft Forum open for business
Thanks for clearing that up SS, I didn't realize it was going to cause so much confusion.
