Re: For everyone that didn't give up!
Well since we already have three, you want us to win our fourth. And I don't know of one living ass thats a REDSKIN fan that also doesn't want that FOURTH SB TROPHY. If anything other than the fourth SB title is "unacceptable" then IF the team you are suposed to be a fan of happens to come up short, then what does someone like yourself do?

Re: For everyone that didn't give up!
this is the question I have been asking myself for about 8 weeks now. The only other time an undefeated team played in the super bowl, who did they play??????
perhaps we will get a chance to win this time?

Re: For everyone that didn't give up!
I thought about creating a thread based on our team's chances in the NFC. Assuming we make the playoffs, which I think we can, I'm confident that we can play well against every team represented. There was really only one team in which they truly showed us that they were the better team. We played a lot of mistake-laden football that cost us most of our games. Shooting ourselves in the foot was our theme this season for many games. It seems like we've settled down, provided decent running lanes, adequate pass protection, kept the ball and sustained drives. Our team is still loaded with talent on both sides of the ball in comparison with every team (in the NFC).
You might think I'm touting us as some powerhouse team, but I'm not. The NFC is weak, very weak. We're a decent team among other decent teams. We have a definite shot at running the table. Remembering our losses to Green Bay, New York and Dallas, we were in commmand until the wheels started to fall off. Two of those games were at their house on top of that. If those wheels stay on in our rematches against some of them, then victory is ours and not surprisingly so. Oh, and I agree with this original post. A lot of people gave up a little too early for my taste but to each his own and let's all stand together and root for the Skins all the way to the final game.

I took the games one at a time, though. I never payed attention to playoff standings or anything. I was happy when we won and mad when we didnt, usually, but either way it was week to week. Of course I want my team to succeed, but I've been watching for the moment for a long time with this team because we haven't had a lot to cheer for otherwise, and right now I'm very excited to be in the position we're in. The win last week was incredibly fun to watch, and I'm so pumped about this week's game I want to punch myself in the nuts!

So what happened that you needed to have your back covered? BTW- does anyone know if Hawaii is on a time delay when it comes to televised games??? I will be going on a pearl harbor excursion during the NFC championship game, and if the skins are in it, I need to find a way to watch it. Any suggestions?

Re: For everyone that didn't give up!
I really don't feel like taking the highroad, but I don't remember who the idiots were claiming that mathematical probabily meant less than their own gut feelings, so I can't call anyone out.
And I may have been wrong about Collins, as I did start that Tim Rattay thread in the offseason.

And I wouldn't beat yourself up over Collins. Who would've thought that a 36 y.o. QB who hadn't started a game in a decade and who was the 3rd stringer last year would be so good? Even Collins' supporters weren't so optimistic (or what turned out to be realistic). |
