Re: Fred Smoot Thread...
I said it once, maybe even twice, but the Skins have 3 number 1 corners and I am thankfull for that.

Re: Fred Smoot Thread...
smoot is playing the exact same way he did before he left for minnesota. he was coughing up blood and playing with a cracked sterum and still making plays then. I've never doubted him. As for his time and poor play in minnesota, as far as i'm concerned, it never happened and he never left.

Re: Fred Smoot Thread...
some guys fit good in some defenses. with Smoot, you get a grade A tackler. and not too shabby a cover guy. im starting to think Smoot is a pretty good team guy, a good guy to have around

Re: Fred Smoot Thread...
Smoot is good, Springs is better.
The only knock anyone should have with him is his size which causes height matchup issues and creates injury potential. He is a #2 corner. Carlos Rodgers on the other hand.....who knows? I just hope he improves fast because Springs is the man...but the man is expensive and getting old...I cant believe how well these 2 have held up this year. Kudos to Coach William to having such solid corner depth this year!! It certainly is a huge difference in our defensive ranking vs last years crappy D.

Re: Fred Smoot Thread...
I am definitely the biggest Fred Smoot fan and i am going to order more of his Smack Energy bars especially after this victory...i recommend everyone go and order the smack chocolate bars from the Smack Energy bar website.
I watched the game live and i think the redskins played the best i have ever seen them this entire season. |

Re: Fred Smoot Thread...
I like Smoot and love his intensity, but it just seems like he gets beat on a lot of plays fortunately safety help comes or its a bad throw or a drop.. i hope he can little better in the postseason

Re: Fred Smoot Thread...
I agree. Some of the safety help is by design, but Smoot plays a lot of catchup. However, it's a results-oriented league, and, like you said, he either makes the play or the receiver/QB botches it, so I think it's overlooked.
