By all means correct me if I've missed something here. Where did Cowher's name come into conversation in the first place? Gibb's has not said a thing about retiring that I am aware of. Cowher retired to spend needed time with his family and was not sure if he would ever return. I do not understand this topic....we are 2-0 and hopefully 3-0 in about 12 hours. Hypothetically, if JG retired why would we then entertain Cowher instead of GW and AS? Hopefully I have not missed something going into week 3.

If/when the time comes for the Skins to hire a new coach I'd love to see them find a young guy like Tomlin instead of always rolling out these old retreads that will only stick around for a few years.

That'd be nice. As for Gregg Williams, I don't know if things have changed but I do know that as recently as 2005 Snyder didn't like Williams at all. Thought he was too abrasive and had no true leadership skills. Then again, he was probably comparing him to Joe Gibbs. I'm starting to feel the same way about Peter King. BC isn't coming here if Gibbs leaves. He's going to want to run a 3-4 defense. We don't have 3-4 personel. Plus why would we turnover the coaching staff when you have two VERY PROVEN coordinators with head coaching experience? Not even Snyder can screw that up. GW will take over once Gibbs leaves.

I agree with most of you in thinking no way BC comes here. GW has the inside track on the job here... esp. if he has the opp. to keep Al here to run the O isnt that why they are "Assitant Head Coach offense/Defense" let GW run the Special teams too, Joe will be working in a pres/ gm capacity. Joe came here to bring stability to a unstable org. Hes gonna make sure we are good when he leaves. GW will be the HC and DC Al is gonna run the offense and call the plays... plain and simple bc. Joe wont let THE DANNY screw bad again up while he is around, and hes gonna stay around just not as HC for too long........ And screw that butterball Peter King....

Yeah, it all depends on how this season turns out. So far so good, and it would be hard to imagine Gibbs walking away and letting someone else reap the rewards of the work he put in.

Peter King is a speculative commentator and sports writer that occasionally makes outrageous predictions to draw attention to him.

I would love to be watching "Inside the NFL" and see Sean Taylor come flying in and lay him out while his fat a$$ sits in that chair talking about how tight he is with the league and his inside sources.
