Re: World Bowl
Before anyone gets overly excited about Bramlet, just remember the name JT O'Sullivan. He's a perennial star over in NFL Europe. But he's never made a dent in the NFL.

Re: World Bowl
Gotta disagree. Brameltt has been playing pro football (albeit overseas) at a high level for a couple seasons now. Based on proven experience Bramlett makes it as #3, Palmer on the practice squad.

Re: World Bowl
Bramlet will be coming to camp already behind as far as the offense goes. Yes he's had some valuable playing time over in NFLE, but he'll have some catching up to do now. If the rumors of the Skins only keeping one veteran backup are true, you'd have to think that Brunell will be safe over Collins and the #3 job will be up for grabs. Still, I'm not getting too excited over what Bramlet did in NFLE. NFLE does not = NFL.

Re: World Bowl
Of course Bramlet is behind what we are doing, how could he not be.......? We'll see how Bramlet does in camp, I think he's gonna make #3 spot. The guy will stay up here, even if carrying a clipboard. If not with us some other NFL team will pick him up. Collins is no longer needed at his price tag, as long as MB is ready to be a capable backup #2, as all evidence at this time proves he is.

Re: World Bowl
The thing that's against him is the fact that they drafted J. Palmer. There is always pressure to keep draft picks on the squad. I gave up predicting which way these decisions go because they seldom do what I think they will or should. Of course if it were me, Babe Laufenberg would still have a roster spot. I just hope they don't screw Bramlet because Vinny owed Palmer's agent a favor or some nonsense like that. Sometimes I wonder.

If you look around the NFL most teams keep a young guy and a vet. No one keeps two old guys around in their mid to late 30's. So I believe this rumor 100%. So if it were me, I would have Collins be the #2 and then let Bramlett and Palmer battle it out for #3. We have got to get a young guy in here to groom along with JC. |

Re: World Bowl
If Brunell sucks it doesn't say much for Mr. career backup Todd Collins. If either of these guys had to play a significant amount this year we're screwed. I think Brunell gets the nod though due to his experience level.

And his skill level gets him the nod as well. I mean who would rather have Brunell or Collins? I rest my case.
