Re: Collinsworth on Redskins QB situation
we should have snyder hire a high priced sergean to take brunell's brain and insert it into campbell's head, then we would have the qb we are dreaming of.

Re: Collinsworth on Redskins QB situation
Time to find out if that's the case and remember Collinsworth hates the Redskins and himself because deep down he knows that he is in love with Bob Costas.

Re: Collinsworth on Redskins QB situation
First I've heard of this, but it sounds like hogwash to me. There's really no way to guage how a QB will play until you let him play. And the only person wishing for Brunell is the groundskeeper, who probably worked a lot of overtime replacing the divots from the balls MB bounced in the dirt in front of wide open receivers.

Re: Collinsworth on Redskins QB situation
One thing is for sure, it won't be long before we begin to find out whether he can play or not. It's rather hard to believe someone within the organization would make a statement like that about a young man about to make his first start in the NFL. Sounds more appropiate coming from some one who just want's to see him fail.

Re: Collinsworth on Redskins QB situation
Who will start vs Philly? Thats easy, Brunell. Gibbs will give us some line of bull about Mark being rested and giving us the best chance to win. I have said it in other threads, we have not seen the last of Brunell.

Re: Collinsworth on Redskins QB situation
I dunno, I think it may be credible. First, most scouts said it would take Campbell 2 years to develop into a starter. Second, most of the comments I've heard about Campbell from other Redskins (save Randy Thomas) have been less than glowing. They haven't said anything bad, but they're not saying how he's going to be "great." Rabach said Campbell looks "decent." Every comment about Campbell seems to be, "he's a great athlete, it's just a question of whether he can handle to mental aspect of the game."
Nevertheless, I could care less what others think. I'll wait until I see him on the field. |

If Campbell was horrid and we won three games to get to 6-6 (behind a resurgent defense...somehow), then maybe. Other then that exclusive scenario, or injury, we've seen the last of Brunell this season.

That's pretty much my take as well SGG. He's going to start the game for us on Sunday and we'll all be watching to draw our own conclusions. He'll have to prove to us through his play what they say about him is either right or wrong.
