You know, i really didn't think much of Taylor Jacobs at this point other than he will be cut soon. But one of the points Portis brought up was that Saunders might help Jacobs out, and if that means that Jacobs will actually start performing on the field, i'm all for it.

Portis was completely joking when talking about Brunell.

last night's episode probably won't, but tonight's episode will air at 7, and again at 10, and at various times in the wee hours of the morn. He'll be on there today and tomorrow, and you can probably catch some of his highlights on the total access weekly review show that comes on saturdays at 7.

Then the guy said, wow that is the stuff you only hear here and barely got done saying here and Davis jumped in and said, I'm sorry but Ward likes me, i know it ward call me up blah blah blah. Didn't anyone else catch that. Threatened to retire?
I too noticed that, it seems to me thats why the Cowboys and Giants are liked more by the media b/c Campbell is still the X factor of prediction.

As for Mark. He is looking forward to this being his last season. I believe it was more like Mark is holding on for $ and cuz he is a decent guy. Thats the underlying theme, is team. Washington has good chemistry finally, guys care about each other getting better. Portis is a live tv disaster. Never seen anyone with so many disses to people. At least he left REisen out of it.
Jason Campbell, however, looks like a better Mcnabb. If Jason can for once plant himself in an offense gameplan more than one year he wont be too far from running the league. I think Al saunders offense with the many options of attack is great for a rookie and proven successful so he may grow into and perfect. We could have the same formula I think helped the Steelers hype up Ben. Little dump passes to backs, w/ more deadly recievers builds confidence and since Defensives wont be getting in his face and exploiting weakness of inexperience I see him the as the Best Qb draft pick of last year.

maybe we should watch him play first... and i really don't think he has mcnabb's speed either.

I don't know. I'm going to go just on what I've heard from camp, but he sounds a lot like a Steve Young type. EXTREMELY accurate, with above average elusiveness.

I am skip on to something he did say, Taylor jacobs is the best player in the nfl to not touch the field. I don't know how many times more I can handle to hear that. Has anyone seen him in off season workouts? Is he all that good? I saw him last year at the baltimore scrimmage and I don't remember anything great. I do remember him getting hurt and coming out of the game but there is no surprise there.

Some people at extreme are questioning it too. http://www.extremeskins.com/forums/s...3&page=4&pp=15 Starts at post 51 and works down. They are saying it sounded serious but it had to be a joke. That is what I am thinking too. Portis talks differently when he is joking and sounded like he was just talking about football at that point. Its clinton so i'll say he was joking.
Profootballtalk spoke of a surprise retirement of a veteran player about 2 weeks ago. I didnt really think much of it at the team, but I decided that Brunell would fit the description of the player they were talking about. They also reported that the player isn't retiring after all. They never said who it was, but if I find out it was Brunell, I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Crisis averted...for now.

Re: NFL Total Access: Clinton Portis

I saw it this morning and the Brunell thing was a total joke and all of them where laughing. I never for one minute thought any different. They just asked about Brunells finger and he started in one of his clasic bits about Brunell retiring. It was pretty funning.
