I think we should persue him because he is a special teams star who just works hard and a blue-collar worker.

holdman has atleast shown in his career that he can be good...adams is all special teams nothing special defensively...id take him for cheap but i dont think we would give him dirt to play here...

after last year, they're on equal footing to me... well, holdman has to start a step down, but besides that...

i think if holdman gets another chance in the system, he would do much better. remember it was only his first year with the team in this system, so another year would benefit him.

Re: Redskins | K. Adams visited team

I would like to get Thomas Howard from UTEP with our second rd pick. but the latest i seen is he is going in the first round. 235lbs and runs a 4.42/40. Blitzes very well also.

I cannot emphasize enough how impressed I am with the offseason. The only true weakness that I see is at QB and as long as Brunell is healthy, they will be fine. All I keep hearing is how old he is. Well guess what. He is younger than Rich Gannon was when he had his best years and the talent on that Raiders team wasn't on the same map as this team.

I really think that they are ready for a special year.
I hope you're right, dude. While I personally liked Brunell's performance last season, there was a noticeable dropoff near the season's end thanks to injuries sustained by him and other key players on offense. It's also important to remember that whereas Gannon had spent many years as a journeyman around the league (many of those seasons were spent as a backup), Brunell spent most of his career in Jacksonville, getting the snot beat out of him. I'm definitely rooting for the man, but I'm also a little worried that the years of beatings could take there toll on him by season's end.

Re: Redskins | K. Adams visited team

We definitely need a LB either with our 2nd round pick or possibly from free agency. I like Clemons and Khary Campbell in limited roles, but I'm not convinced that either is a starter. Now if McCune suddenly becomes comfortable with MLB, I could see Lemar Marshall switching back to WLB. . . which would make our defense completely wicked.

Yep, I hear you. If Brunell drops off again towards the end of next season, when conceivably we'll need him the most, Joe Gibbs is the type of coach who will remain loyal to the quarterback to the very end -- almost to the point when its too late. That's why everyone should be rooting for Jason Campbell to win the job outright in training camp this year.

Re: Redskins | K. Adams visited team

However, Adams has an 83 OVR rating on Madden '06 with SPD of 83 and decent AWR. Of course he's overrated due to being on PHIs roster but he must be solid. At least as solid as Holdman. We don't need both veterans. Sign one and draft for depth.

McCune won't be playing squat if we draft someone with more upside.
