Re: F...American Idol
I USED to be a fan mostly because of a couple contestants but now I'm with the rest of you. F*** AI and their BULL**** show.

Re: F...American Idol
Well, the best singer (Chris) is gone, I have no reason to watch any more.

Re: F...American Idol
Hahahaha. I never vote on Idol and I definitely agree that Chris is the best singer on there, but Katherine...wow. She can sing, but that's not why I watch.

Re: F...American Idol
I don't really care either way about American Idol but I really like that Yamin kid. He has the soul thing down. Chris Daughtry got kicked off last night...the look on his face last night was priceless, I think he thought he was definitely, for sure, the next Idol! LOL.
What about Survivor? I think it takes the cake!

Re: F...American Idol
I watch it and like the show. Chris was the best and has the most talent of anyone on the show, and he'll have the best career when it's all said and done because he knows his genre and he'll stick to it when recording an album. It's a shame he's gone but to be honest I'm not that surprised. The last few weeks he just hasn't been picking popular songs. I like the Elvis songs he chose, but I mean come on, Taylor and Katharine picked some of the most recognizable Elvis tunes ever. And they were the kind of songs that got people moving, they were upbeat.
This doesn't mean Chris wasn't the best musician. He is the best by far. But the contest is about who America likes best, not about who is best. And if you sing songs that America really likes, that helps your cause. If you don't, you're fighting an uphill battle. I have to hand it to Taylor and Elliot this week, they gave people a reason to call in and vote for them. They were right on. I'm not sure who I'm rooting for now. It's a shame Chris is gone. I like all 3 of the remaining singers equally.

Re: F...American Idol
Honestly I think the only reason Chris is gone is because everyone just assumed he had it locked. He's been in the top 2 consistently, and every poll I've seen had him as the predicted winner, so people probably just thought they didn't need to vote for him. It's a shame because I think he was by far the best one this entire season, but I absolutely love Katerine (the total package) McPhee........so I'll just pull for her now.

Re: F...American Idol
Yes, Katherine is the total package in every sense of that word. Honestly, out of the remaining contestants, I think that Katharine would be the biggest "star" out of the bunch. Elliot looks like a Norfin Troll without the hair and Taylor has a lot of singing talent, but is spastic as hell. Katharine would appeal to the biggest demographic (just like I thought Chris would).

Re: F...American Idol
Katharine is a pop music cookie cutter girl. She's pretty, great voice, sings ballads. But there's nothing original, no unique style, etc. The only way you can be successful when you're cut from the cookie cutter mold is to become something more impressive. Kelly Clarkson was cookie cutter, but she found a rock edge and now she's got her own style. Boom, success.
Carrie Underwood is having success because she's pop-country, not quite cookie cutter pop. Katharine will need to develop a style or something, or she's going to be here today and gone tomorrow. Daughtry's going to be successful no matter what because he already has a great style. He'll catch on with a rock band. I'll say this though, Katharine is hot.
