Still, I think the signings we've seen are smart for the most part, and the front office is making the upgrades that this team desperately needed. My only problem with the moves we've made so far are losing the 3rd and 4th rounders for Brandon Lloyd.

relax.. let's win some games first... the cap is going to continue to rise very year. we will be fine

I was thinking the same thing but he also says it would make it the second defensive signing. Which I assume means after Archuleta and he didn't sign until this morning right?

No, no. Like I said, I think we're doing the things we have to do. And yes, it seems that "cap hell" is never able to creep up on us.

That's fine and dandy with me.

I heard that a deal was in place but Carter said that meeting with Denver was something he "had to do".

Carter will fly to Washington on Tuesday to sign his deal, said an official familiar with the deal. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the contract wasn't signed.

I'm smilin like a Cheshire Cat after this news. I was telling my brother all day I would be really happy if we could sign him or Abraham. This is the signing I was hoping for the whole time. Finally, after about a decade we have a legit pass rusher again! And he's young and locked up...money!

Re: Redskins About to Sign Carter

every year we don't have enough money and every year we sign people and every year people wonder how we do it but...

it happens every year without problem or fail as far as i can see. i can't remember who's the cap expert on the board but maybe some of those deals are just made to look bigger than they are...

i doubt we'll be in any kind of trouble especially since the cap does raise every year. be glad danny will cash out...
