Re: Brunell sucks
Come on guys let's not pile on Brunell. Like I've said before the guy has heart and smarts. And J.G. is a much better evailuater of talent than all of us here. Let's get some pay back from tampax bay!

Re: Brunell sucks
Mark Brunell is as good as the Wideouts make him. James Thrash and Taylor Jacobs are non-existent on offense and have made it difficult for Moss to separate from a triple team coverage. Thrash runs some of the worst routes I have seen. I want him to do well, but he has not been able to give 100% do to injuries. His routes are not sharp and his defensive skills are horrible. He just gave up on the play after the CB caught the INT. We will be shopping for Brandon Llyod on the off season.

Re: Brunell sucks
Bozzy come om this guy has been pretty effecient. Most of the high ball you can sttribute to him not putting weight on the front foot. Butt this guy has been "spicy" of late.

Maybe it began during the game and not after. Either way it is a pretty pathetic commentary from someone who claims to love the Redskins. Brunell is the main reason we are even celebrating today. No win in Dallas and we are waiting for Dallas to lose even if we would have won.

Re: Brunell sucks
Brunell is the our qb for the next couple of years until campbell is ready. this brunell reminds me of the one in jacksonville when he was the next coming of steve young. just wait until next year when we add a solid number 2 wr( brandon lloyd sounds real good) but this will be a deadly offense no matter what we just need a solid number 2. Along with one hell of a pass rusher for the defense (robert mathis of colts is the best option that I can see)

Re: Brunell sucks
If Joe Gibbs has proven anything, it's this:
When he has a very good offensive line and outstanding running backs and wide receivers (and tight ends for that matter, since they are a Gibbs trademark) then all he needs is a GOOD quarterback to be successful, he doesn't require a Hall-of-Famer to get the team to the playoffs. Brunell is no worse a quarterback than Mark Rypien. Sure, like everyone else, I was down on Brunell last year and I couldn't understand, for the life of me, why Gibbs stuck with him, but I don't question a Hall-of-Fame coach, he has his reasons. the Post's Tony Kornheiser has done a 180 on Brunell and I think that most of us have also. He's smart and capable and fits into this offensive scheme very well. I feel sorry for Ramsey, though. I hope he gets a chance somewhere else if not here. |

Nobody was told to shut up. You are absolutely correct - generally speaking, everyone is entitled to voice their opinion on this site. Some opinions - like calling for dumping Brunnell - are simply more moronic than others. Sunra was merely highlighting the idiocy of such a call after Brunnell's accomplishments this season - especially from a Redskins fan as such a person is one whom others would expect to have Brunnell's accomplishments during the course of the season. |
