From Redskins.com on today's practice:

-- 10:20 a.m. ET

Play Of the Day
Devin Thomas found himself drawing triple coverage on a downfield route.
The ball came his way anyway.
Thomas made the grab and then turned upfield. He out-raced defenders to the end zone for the score.
Thomas, a starter last year who is competing for playing time, gave a little fist pump as he crossed into the end zone.

If you have never checked out the player interviews on the SKins site.....do so. If you watched the video's last year, they were...serching for something positive to say, and it was obviously BS. NOT SO this year, the guys seem confident and genuinely excited. GREAT stuff

Afternoon practice canceled. Shanahan will hold team meetings instead.

Poor Lions they never even had a chance. Look like they should have drafted Okung and traded for Haynesworth. However I'm actually starting to feel good about keeping Haynesworth especially after seeing this pic. He really has slimmed down.

It looks like we made a great pick with Trent Williams.

Whats up with Suh trying to get more than Bradford? If I'm the Lions GM I tell that agent to tell his client he better get comfy on the couch. Maybe get a direct tv package so he can watch football on Sundays.

There is the remote() possibility that they're trying to use Albert Haynesworth as an example and that Suh will naturally be better than Al.

Yeah, from this angle it's pretty obvious how much weight he has lost -- problem is, odds are that not all that weight was fat so if his numbers of 30-40 lbs lost represent how much weight he lost, odds are at least 10-15 lbs were muscle.

I was reading the RI article and watched the Shanny video, and I think we all know how low-key and level the HC is and not at all given to hyperbole. That's why, if he says something like "nice catch", it must have been a spectacular catch.

If he was dieting correctly his muscle loss should be minimal. It wouldn't be normal to lose that much muscle.

Yup. Very true. Guys that big with that much body fat %, the initial weight (for a guy his size, 30 lbs is initial) really drops off quickly once diet/exercise habits are changed. Really it probably wasn't too difficult to lose that much fat for him, and if his trainer is worth a damn, he definitely didn't lose much muscle.

Colt continues to do himself no favors. Struggling badly again today. Grossman continues to be steady and fully understands this offense it seems. He's got the back-up QB spot locked down

Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread

If Shanahan rolls with only 2 QBs, as he has a history of doing, Colt is definitely done. Probably a big question mark even if he keeps 3 QBs.

That doesn't mean he is in football shape. Det. did not want him and his bad attitude.
