I can't believe the D is playing this bad, maybe they have given up. Guess you can't blame them. They've been put in shit situations all day.

God help Jim Harbaugh or whoever else if he doesn't go 12-4 in his first year, no matter how bad the roster is.
Then -- it's on to the next coach, then the next, then the next... Good Christ. |

Re: Week 15: Redskins vs Cowboys Gameday thread
You can argue that we're lacking in talent, but saying the the learning curve for a system is this steep is absolutely not true. It's football, not calculus. Shanahan's not waiting on McNabb to learn his system, so why are you?

Re: Week 15: Redskins vs Cowboys Gameday thread
Shanahan may be labeled stubborn, but I would rather have a stubborn coach, then a push over like Zorn or someone else..
Pats Steelers Ravens All ahve stubborn coaches, but nobody calls them out because they are winning and have had time to put the pieces in place. You guys need to stop thinking we are going to win the Super Bowl every year. |

Re: Week 15: Redskins vs Cowboys Gameday thread
Shanahan has not set up this team for the future, and personally I don't think he is that type of coach. The team is not good at anything, and he has created even more personnel needs. Also, his pissing matches with McNabb and Haynesworth have not help this team.

I would definitely say the return game has improved, so I take that back. Special teams in general has regressed (long snapping, punting, kicking) Im willing to give Shanny time, I agree that it takes time to learn a new system. My point is that they have regressed from week 1 under Shanny to week 14 under Shanny. |

Cooley was in the game? Wow, glad to see them finally use one of the best TE in the league.

Re: Week 15: Redskins vs Cowboys Gameday thread
Shanahan needs to stay, the situation has been handled weird but McNabb was not getting the job done and he is not part of the future anymore. He is a good coach, its the 1st year we were 4 and 12 last year. P.S. our defense absolutely sucks!!!! It is terrible i know we dont have that much talent but geez give me a break giving up way too many points and plays on a regular basis. The system is not working!
