Re: Redskins free agent signings 2018
As the 2014 class departs it’s critical the next guys up can fill the void. Anderson, Moreau, Roullier, etc. It’s obvious that’s what the team is banking on.

Yep, and that is generally what good teams do (GB, NE , PITT)

Re: Redskins free agent signings 2018
My concern in losing Breeland and Fuller despite having Moreau, the amount of depth lost. I don’t think there’s an available FA that can replace those two. Matthiu wants to get paid and I don’t think the Redskins will. Need to draft a
CB.

DRC is still in play and Scandrick will be cut soon as well. Others could be by draft time so no panic yet.

Re: Redskins free agent signings 2018
Those guys are average compared to Fuller and Breeland. I would save my money and pass on them and draft a CB.

Re: Redskins free agent signings 2018
Breeland was trashed by everyone on here in 2015,2016. He had a solid year last yr and now he's a huge loss? I don't think he was. Fuller was a bigger loss

Re: Redskins free agent signings 2018
To be honest, other than the QB's this FA hasn't exactly had big time players... I mean look around the league and who is getting signed... Not many are "wow"

Re: Redskins free agent signings 2018
Breeland had one bad year and was our best CB before Norman showed up and actually played better than Norman last year. Trading Fuller was fucking moronic.

Re: Redskins free agent signings 2018
But that is what it takes to have a QB, again would u rather have Fuller and AJ Mccarron or Colt? Not me bro.

Re: Redskins free agent signings 2018
Paid way too much for a QB on the downside of his career, would have rather have built up the D and O, signed Keenum and take my chances + drafted a future QB.

Re: Redskins free agent signings 2018
scandrick is mediocre at best, and slow, no thanks. Cromartie is meh as well - i mean for the right price, for depth, sure, but otherwise? Nah. And yes. I wish they could have worked something else out than trading fuller I really do. I hope they address this need somehow, and hopefully with someone that has playmaking ability because IMHO the secondary is suspect as hell right now.

Re: Redskins free agent signings 2018
They may take a chance on a QB earlier than anyone here would want is my sneaking suspicion. Someone to learn behind Smith for a few years before he retires. But my question is, is there some late round project player at QB that we can do that with? - I would hate if they used one of the top 3 picks to draft a qb when there are so many other needs. My worst nightmare - at this point - is if Baker Mayfield is available at 13, that Dan will make that pick. I like baker, i do, but i just dont think its the right time after acquiring smoith and having so many other holes. --- hell i wanted to draft the kid if cousins left, so i may eat my words, BUT - - I really have hopes that this f/o is getting better.

That's just the way it goes. I do agree that I would rather look to the 4th and 5th round for a CB, (and it may be to our advantage that the CB market took off and so many teams filled a need there thus reducing the pressure for CB's to rise in the draft) Hard to call getting a proven winning QB with a terrific cap number moronic. Even if he does need things around him, the 10 million cap difference will help us do that. |

We’re not using a top pick on a QB
