They were down 6 points with 4 minutes. Recovering that ball could have made a huge difference in the game.

This wasn't a brain fart or I would understand that. Him saying he didn't want to get hurt (even though he runs all the time) diving for a ball in the biggest game of the year (probably his life) is something entirely different.

Don't compare what Kirk did to what Cam did. They aren't remotely the same. If Kirk had downed the ball in the Super Bowl because he didn't want to get hurt, you god damn right I'd be furious.

I want a player who's going to leave it all out on the field come the big game. This is regular season. I'm absolutely in shock this dude said this.
BUT YOU'RE NOT A PANTHERS FAN SO GET OVER IT!

Re: SuperBowl Week

If people want to lose their sh*t and complain about a current NFL player (although not for long), go to the NFL and stuff thread and complain about this:

Johnny Manziel's strike ruptured ex-girlfriend's eardrum, her lawyer says

Personally, I think it is a stupid answer, because EVERYONE knows Cam always takes a ton of hits, so it doesn't make any sense. I don't know how you can call him a pussy, when he has taken more hits than any QB on the league.

Once again, not saying what he did is justifiable or right; but you're acting like Cam committed a crime or something. I just don't get the outrage.
You do realize I pull for Carolina when they aren't playing us right? How can you not be shocked when a guy who bulls people over and wins MVP say some stupid shit like he did. No, it doesn't make sense, but I'm not the one that said it. He did. He's the one that said he didn't dive on the ball because he didn't want to get hurt.

He didn't commit a crime, but he committed one when it comes to the football world. Not giving it your all in the Super Bowl would probably be one of the biggest faux pas there is in the sport.

No, it's not like I didn't follow the Panthers ever since their first draft pick of Kerry Collins or go to any of their games (like their first playoff win against Dallas Cowboys at home). Truth be told, if I were younger, I most likely would be a Panthers fan. That said, I'm not bailing on the Skins just because Carolina finally got a NFL team.

Cam was a freaking punching bag in that game. You want to know who else didn't try at that game? Michael Oher and Mike Remmers, who got completely owned by Ware and Von Miller.

I guess if you're a Panthers fan you can be that upset.

I think we need to take points off your Redskins card

No need to. I'm 100% Skins if they play the Panthers. Also, I don't own any Panthers gear either. Truth be told, I'm quite agitated we play so poorly against the Panthers year in and year out.

I think you are assuming I blame Cam for the loss. That was a complete disaster by EVERYBODY on that offensive unit. Offensive line, QB, WRs, RBs....all were utter shit that game. Bad blocking, fumbles, dropped passes galore, overthrown passes, holding ball too long, offside penalties, sacks given up.....it was like it was a pre-season game for that offensive unit.

The sad part of the game is nobody is going to notice how well that defensive unit played against Denver offense.

True. I think is that Denver's offense was THAT good. Ironically, in the week leading up to the SB, all the pundits were talking about how the Carolina D was going to dominate Denver's offense; which they actually did. But no one thought Denver's D was going to be this good.

I honestly thought Denver's D was going not going to be able to keep up and/or be able to carry the game.

Overall, it was just amazing to see these two defensive performance. And I'm glad I haven't seen many people complain about this.

Re: SuperBowl Week

Being from North Carolina, I think of the Panthers as the Redskins younger first cousin. I'm obviously closer with the Redskins and would never even consider dropping them. At the same time, there's a sense of hometown pride with the Panthers. That being said, I would not say the same thing if I lived in Dallas!

Re: SuperBowl Week

N C Skins...he had a bad play there, it happens. Maybe it was a brain fart or a split second type of thing where he felt he couldn't get to the ball the way he was standing. Probably came out wrong by him saying he didn't want to injure himself by tying to get the ball. But Cam Newton is not a pussy. How many NFL QB's have you ever seen run the ball into the teeth of NFL defenses the way he does? And continue to stay healthy? Cam's a stud and a tough as nails QB, just had a bad play.

Re: SuperBowl Week

Questioning Cam's toughness is just fucking absurd.

He's human, he goofed big time by not jumping on the fumble. Oh well. Such is life.

Don't like Cam....
Probably won't
Considering his play....he is a phenom that played his ass off this year...deserves the MVP and I wish I was as much of a pussy as he is.
