The patriots would in no way take Haynesworth, 1- cause of his attitude, and 2- cause of his crazy contract (which is what is preventing other teams too, but the pats are more about getting players at a lower value than any other team in the NFL).

Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth

maybe I'm in the minority here, but I've changed my mind recently. I was willing to let Haynesworth go, however, after McNabb came out and said we can't win without him means Albert is still liked in the locker room and people know how talented he really is. If he plays like poo first game of the season, then I understand getting rid of him cause he just mentally doesn't want to play...however, at this point, he's only performed poorly because of his fued with Shanny, and it's the preseason. Why would he play hard last game of the preseason when he was forced to play the whole game? I am just not sure Haynesworth will tank it come regular season.

Well, the Patriots did take a chance on Randy Moss not too long ago. Plus, Haynesworth's contract is really not all that much after we paid him 21 m. Furthermore, the Pats D is in shambles...and I'm sure Darth Hoody would get something out of AH. And finally, the Pats have been known to be in the better end of lopsided deals. So it is plausible I would say.

Well I've heard in the offseason that Belichick is gearing more towards a 4-3 defense. Or at least they were trying it out. Plus, no disrespect to Haslett, but Belichick is a defensive genius and would make Haynesworth work out in his schemes.

Moss is the only "questionable" one they have gone after. And they made a big deal out of his attitude and made him sit with Belicheat before hand. Not to mention that Moss had one of his worst seasons, and came at an amazing discount (4th rounder)...every team would have done that, the pats just pulled it off. Moss also belonged to the MOST dysfunctional team there is hands down. Haynesworth is just fighting the system and the coach. Trust me, Haynesworth messing with Shanahan is a lot worse than Moss having issues with the 2 win Raiders and Art Shell.

While I would agree Haynesworth would be a massive improvement for the Pats, the Patriots hate players that think they are better than the team. This is the same team that got rid of Ty Law!

Moss will be 34 in February. Not really a good idea.

Trade him for draft picks, draft picks and oh yeah......draft picks. Unless you can get someone to trade a player that WON'T be approaching social security age.

I would respectfully disagree. Randy Moss' antics were well known before he got to Oakland, including off the field issues. Maybe AH's contract makes it a bigger deal here, but Randy Moss in his malcontent/team cancer prime was worst I would argue.

You definately make a good point. He was a cancer when leaving Minnesota too, I just think the combo of contract and bad attitude / thinks he's bigger than the team is a deterant for the Pats. They do not go down those roads historically.

His contract is not crazy at all. Its like 3 years with only 8 mil guarenteed. We already paid him the crazy part.

Now remember if we where able to trade AH to the pats the Redskins FO could not use any of there Jedi Skills and get more picks out of them Darth Hoody was once a Jedi he is now a Sith (I beleive that's the correct spelling) LOL.

He signed a 7 year 100 million contract (could be 115 mil with incentives), and wasn't 41 mil guarenteed? I thought he was to receive around 30 million as a signing bonus within the first year or so, but other than that, I'm unsure of the particulars. Just seems crazy I guess, but maybe you're right.

Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth

I just want this to end. Shanahan couldn't have handled this any worse and now the players are behind the guy he is trying to humiliate (unsuccessfully)

This whole leaking negative information to the media smells like Snyder calling the shots. Whoever thought of it looks like a moron.

all of the guarenteed money has already been paid except for 8 or 9 mil, his contract is actually very trade friendly.
