Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
If Chunky and Sexy both go down, we might as well start running Swinging Gate on every play.

On a side note: SS we need you to use your POI along with your connections in the area to lobby for the bleachers to return to Redskin Park. I know it's not exactly your expertise but I've been lobbying to no avail. I'm an old man and diabetic, standing for long periods of time does absolutely nothing for me. j/k of course, but it worth a try ha!!

If they both go down, we are not going any where this year. That would be a nightmare. I am scared to see Rex for any amount of game action other than a quarter or to.

Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
If anyone thinks Rex Grossman is the answer at back-up, I question their judgement. He may do ok for a short period of time, beyond that he'd be suspect.

Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
I'm starting to love the idea of a no name receiving corps. Maybe we'll see the corps be Moss, Galloway, Fuery, Hodge, Armstrong, and Austin. Notice that theres two names missing that are usually there. One guy that might end up being a steal is a guy named Hodge. Here's his draft report.

This is why the Bucs are stupid. Now get Colt out of there and sign Snead!

On a side note it's pretty bad that I have no idea who this Hodge guy is Dirtbag. And why haven't we heard anything about him being solid at the minimum? I'd love for a no-name to step up and be a consistent player for us but I'm not hopping on the bandwagon for this guy just yet. |

They may make a trade for Orlovsky instead.

Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
Some Twitter updates
RedskinsDotCom Roydell Williams a starter? Could be, per Mike Shanahan. He just caught another nice downfield pass from Rex Grossman. colinkirschner Roydell Williams has joined Joey Galloway at the top of the Redskins depth chart at split end. I know its the beginning better motivate DT! sbnationdc Your daily reminder that Joey Galloway is really, really old, featuring a video of him dunking in 1995. Half Smokes Highlights: Joey Galloway Could Dunk...In 1995 - Half Smokes - SB Nation DC about 3 hours ago via SB Nation sbnationdc Mike Furrey just had the catch of the day, a diving one from Rex Grossman. 1 day ago via Twitter for iPhone LarryWeisman Nice diving grab by Mike Furrey, from Rex Grossman. 1 day ago via Twitter for BlackBerry® RedskinsDotCom Phillip Buchanon with solid coverage on Anthony Armstrong, breaks up a short pass from Rex Grossman. about 10 hours ago via web RickMaese Second team WRs btw: Roydell Williams and Anthony Armstrong (though Armstrong didn't have great morning today) 1 day ago via TweetDeck RedskinsRT RT @RedskinsDotCom: Yes, OT Trent Williams is working with first team. Largely unnoticed is that WR Anthony Armstrong is also getting some first-team reps. Photo: Devin Thomas huh?! Looks like I’ll be a Redskins fan this season. The Get Right 20 minutes ago via Tumblr (or maybe not) RedskinsDotCom On a deep throw, Colt Brennan misses everybody. Colt has looked quite shaky today #redskins #trainingcamp about 9 hours ago via Twitter for iPhone Rustyg418 Lol. Because it's first time it's happened RT @Rich_Campbell: Rex Grossman looks really sharp. First time I have ever thought that. about 9 hours ago via Echofon dcship6 Rex Grossman has been sharp. The defense is starting to show different looks. about 10 hours ago via txt Wing2J Listening to WIP on the way home. Holy ****, guys. DONOVAN MCNABB DOESN'T PLAY HERE ANYMORE! Get over it already. about 2 hours ago via UberTwitter RedskinsIntern McNabb scrambles and throws to rookie Terrance Austin who made nice move and ran for a touchdown! 1 day ago via Twitterrific EJONES9 Terrance Austin failed it 3 times and he on the team now #UCLA RT @commenturry: Terrence Cody of the Baltimore Ravens ... TMI.me: when you have too much to say... 1 day ago via ÜberTwitter Terrence Austin: The rookie wide receiver has seen a lot of passes come his way in the first two days of camp. "He is a very intelligent player," head coach Mike Shanahan said. "Very few guys can come in late and pick up the offense as quickly as he did." Watching the defensive linemen running through drills, I noticed that Jeremy Jarmon is working with them. He was listed as a linebacker heading into training camp, but he has bulked up to 286 pounds and is now listed as a defensive end. Jarmon could develop into a swing player. He has versatility and could slide inside to play nose tackle in pass rushing situations.

Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
Anyone else noticing how all the players that Shanahan and Allen have brought in seem to be doing pretty well -- Galloway, Grossman, Williams (Trent and Roydell), Larry Johnson, McNabb, Austin etc. -- but the guys who are struggling a little bit -- Haynesworth, Thomas, Kelly, Brennan -- are all holdovers from the Zorn/Cerrato regime?
Maybe I'm reading a little too much into it and it's only the third day of camp but it's good to know these new guys are making good impressions. HTTR
