Im on bored with this as well. I do NOT want him under center. But as stagnant as the offense was at the end of the year was pathetic, and its not just O-line. Cooly and Portis are great, reliable players who can put up numbers, but when it comes to playmakers we only have one and he is doubled most of the time (Moss). We need someone to give this O life, JC is too robotic and overthinks everything at this point, but we can win with him. Vick in the wildcat, on screen pass, getting the ball in space, hell even returning punts...he would be a spark. ARE was suppose to be that guy...he make 1 or 2 plays a year....we need something. Give Vick a 1 year deal, 5-10 touches a game and lets see what happens. |

A) the dog fighting conviction B) he's been out of the NFL for 2 years and might have lost a step C) you think that Colt(completely unproven 2nd year NFL QB)/Collins (career backup and master of Al Saunders offense) are actually better QBs then Vick (3 time pro-bowler, NFL HOF record holder, and has lead a team to NFC divisional games) |

Re: The Vick Factor
My beef with Vick is he was a mediocre passer before leaving the game for 2 years. Now he has to shake off some major rust and try to pick up where he left off in his development. His accuracy isn't hot to begin with, and he's a poor fit for a WCO. He's a great athlete and could fit in right away with a team that runs the wildcat, problem is Zorn has no use for the wildcat and I don't see him changing his tune on that.
So yes at this point if I had to choose I would rather take my chances with an unproven young QB in Colt or a veteran in Collins vs. a guy with 2 years of rust on him and someone who was not a good passer to begin with. |

Re: The Vick Factor
I am certainly not a member of the Cult of Colt, I just dont like Vick. I should rephrase my original comment -- colt/collins>vick

Re: The Vick Factor
I am still one that absolutely thinks Colt could be a good NFL qb. Just needs a chance.

Re: The Vick Factor
Unfortunately this team's ownership and a big portion of the fan base are not known for patience.

Re: The Vick Factor
I think Colt could do well in the WCO. He is accurate and can read defenses very well IMO

Re: The Vick Factor
Anyone that wants to bring Vick in here to QB is either trying to start an argument or just plane stupid.

Re: The Vick Factor
Been watching Vick since he was a Hokie freshman and pretty much put them on the map.....a very talented athelete that could play anywhere. Who wouldn't want him??? I think every team in the league secretly wants him. Anyhow, only a few teams will take a chance on him.......i wish him the best of luck at what he does and hope he has truely became a better person.
Has anyone heard of what Marcus Vick is doing now??? |

Re: The Vick Factor
Nah, people are being resourceful and are mentioning this in other threads instead of starting a new one. I'm sure one will come along soon.
