I'm far more concerned with violence or repeated drug issues. While typically I believe in the old adage that a leopard can't change his spots. Remember that a lot of these players are just over 20 years old. There's still a lot of maturing to do for all of them. So they can still be positively affected. Taking selective risk on some character guys could be useful - but they have to really have other traits that can be used to motivate them to stay away from trouble. E.G. the guys who just LOVE football more than the club scene. Although that hurts the skins since we have Wale do our FA visits...

Washington Redskins Draft Profile: Terry Williams, Swamp Monster...and DT - Hogs Haven
I'm sure many VT fans here remember who Terry Williams is. Dude was an absolute beast last year on the DL. He wrecked pretty much any OL he face this season, and his absence was a huge reason SC beat ECU early in the year. I'd love to see what this kid could do as our NT.

I'm in favor of drafting anyone who has a nickname like "Swamp Monster". We need more players with good nicknames. That could be the secret to our resurgence.

Re: 2015 Draft Prospects... First Edition
On Draft Day, there is a trade I'd like to see and a trade I don't want to see. Both trades would be dependent on Marcus Mariota being on the board when we are on the clock with the 5th pick.
The trade i would like: The 5th pick to Cleveland for the 12th pick and the 19th pick in the first round. I would be nice to Cleveland in the deal and only demand two picks, but they must give us both of their first round picks to move up and get Mariota. p.s. Oh, what the heck, we might as well squeeze one of Cleveland's two 4th round picks out of them, as well. We'd still be nice guys, wouldn't we? The trade I would not like: The 5th pick to Philly for the 20th pick, their second round pick, and their first round pick next year. First of all, I wouldn't want to help Philly in any way. Secondly, this year's Phiily picks are too low. Thirdly, next year's Philly pick isn't likely to be any higher. That would a bad trade all around, IMO.

Don't see Clev taking Mariota. It would probably be Philly and they pick 20th.

Re: 2015 Draft Prospects... First Edition
The reason i mentioned the Cleveland trade is because I read from several sources that the Browns might be interested in trading up to get Mariota. It was not a product of my imagination. We should all know by now that they are liable to do anything.

I hear ya, with the McCown signing is why I feel its even less likely, but also dont think they would entertain both first round picks either.

Re: 2015 Draft Prospects... First Edition
I'm starting to really like Danny Shelton. Our D needs help and where's a better place to start than right smack-dab-in-the-middle of the line. I would like to see secondary help, but the 5th overall doesn't warrant any of the talent we could have.
I prefer a trade but if we're going to make a 3-4 work we need a stud NT. then the following years build the front 7 around him.

Re: 2015 Draft Prospects... First Edition
So John Clayton said on ESPN Radio that if Mariotta is there at #5 that we're taking him.
Just doesn't make any sense to me.

Re: 2015 Draft Prospects... First Edition
there is no chance that Clayton is being used to drive up the price of trading for a high pick - I do not see the Redskins sharing their plans with anyone ......one of the local reporters said it is almost impossible to get information from Redskin park now
