Re: Tiger Asks for Mulligan; Promises to Keep Driver in Bag

Re: Tiger Asks for Mulligan; Promises to Keep Driver in Bag
It's not about "owing" anyone anything. It's about managing an image. He's the most recognizable athlete maybe ever. He needed to step up and own it. A lot of people give a rats ass. To think otherwise is pretty naive. Golf fans, kids that look(ed) up to him, people who work for and are supported by his foundation, etc etc.

Re: Tiger Asks for Mulligan; Promises to Keep Driver in Bag
I heard the best description of the entire thing I have heard...to date. A local sports guy lamented. Tiger owes NOBODY nothing, except his wife and family. In turn the sponsors and the public have the right of free will to decide to dump him or forgive him? After all what can you say about him.
1) He is a phenominal golfer 2) He is a phenominally poor husband MORE reason NOT to rely on sports figures for either ours or our childrens idols.

Re: Tiger Asks for Mulligan; Promises to Keep Driver in Bag
Just like London , Americans are drama queens , prop up " celebrities " as super human . I know he needs to make things right with his family , sponsers ect . I hope this story just goes the hell away , I can't believe every freakin channel had it on ? He is young, famous , rich and he screwed around .... like nobody before him has ever done that ? I feel bad for those who felt that " they had to see the PC " .... leave him and his family alone .

This is a phenomenal read from Jamie Diaz at Golf Digest:

This is SOOOO funny. Seth McFarlane and Co's take on what Tiger really wanted to say during his official "apology" (NSFW):
I'm gonna double post in the Super Happy Fun Thread.
