that is exactly why you don't trade up for CW; the hype is just hype it don't mean shit until you step on that NFL grass

CY was considered more of a home run then CW; he was the next great thing and produced poop

It’s all about attitude, not their ability.
Young sucks because his attitude sucks. Now look at Williams, and you can predict the future. 🫣

CW i see the pre Madonna shit, CY i guess i never really saw it and he seemed to be a good teammate on the sidelines, i think he was a one move guy that worked very well at the college level then at the pro level he didn't progress

Regarding Young, he would never show up for mini camps. Never do the extra work on his craft or team building within the defense.
When asked why he didn’t/wouldn’t report for minicamps and such, his reply would be “I’m a business man baby”, alluding to outside team activities. In other words, he’s all about the bag, but not about the work.

Now we have Williams, who has already made public statements (and walked them back) about which teams he won’t play for, and he wants ownership stake in whoever drafts him. Couple that with immature public displays both on and off the field, (crying in his mama’s arms after a loss. Painted nails. Dress wearing. Etc. ) I personally don’t think he’s built to succeed in the NFL. In fact, he looks primed to flame out epically.

Injuries are the great equalizer. He had a pretty significant one, he'll probably never be the same because of it.

I'm not sure if the injury is the only reason why Young didn't play well as he did in the rookie year. Someone (a 49ers fan) made a video that shows multiple clips where Young slacked off on some plays, there were even a couple of plays where he was only 2-3 feet away from the ball runners and yet he didn't run hard to tackle them, which ended up allowing the runners to make a huge gain or scored a TD.

Seems like in his rookie year he was always flying around. Perhaps the injury has him making more business decisions on the field than he did prior. He just hasn't been the same guy since then.

Yeah I'm tired of the injury excuse regarding Chase Young. In the 9 games before he got hurt that season he had 1.5 sacks. In his "great" rookie season he had 7.5. That was not what we expected the day he was drafted, he just has never been able to get to the QB at the NFL level. And now he is lazy.

Fuck CY, on his 3rd team already, talking about how he wanted a winning culture so that's why he signed in New Orleans, dude you were just on a SB team WTF are you talking about. Signs a contract and heads right to surgery, FFS.

Pretty amazing that Ron & co. were able to swing a 3rd round pick for him. Credit where it's due, we parlayed a guy who's scared to play at 100% effort for a 3rd rounder.

A team loading up for a SB run is going to roll the dice. I don't fault the 49ers for trading for him.

Peters isn't infallible.
