Marshall Faulk gets it. Imagine working your entire life towards one goal, then getting to the game and you get dominated like that from start to finish. No wonder he was upset.

He has to do better than that

Re: SuperBowl Week

Looking at Cam numbers or what actually matters...he was absolutely horrendous last night:

Cam Newton 18/41 265 6.5 0 1 6-64 16.9 55.4. Rating of 16.9? 2 fumbles as well. 44% completion

wow

Yeah I thought Faulk was on point too. Cam is a young guy, he's still got some growing up to do but that's ok.

Re: SuperBowl Week

Newton's a front runner. It's all good when things are going your way and you're dabbing and celebrating every first down. He's a young guy but he's also been in the league for 5 years. Time to grow up, grow some nuts and act like a damn pro. You've got the massive contract, you earned it, now it's time to act like a man when things don't go your way. Instead he acted like a 4 year old who got his toys taken from him.

Denver's offense is putrid. Just downright had to watch. Their defense basically put the team on it's back.

Being a "young guy" is a bullshit excuse. That what an apologist says.

Kubiack offense isn't very good nor is Peyton.

Re: SuperBowl Week

Cam is still young, has alot to learn, including managing a game. Carolina should have won that game. I like him alot, but he does act like a baby sometimes.

No , the better team won the game .Peyton was a game manager last night ,so what?Denver won with a defense that was mostly the best ever in a super bowl and Carolina played like shit ,no they should not have won,not even close.

Re: SuperBowl Week

I'll be honest, I can tolerate Cam as long as he doesn't reach Aqib Talib's age and is still acting like that. After last night I think Talib is a straight idiot, he would have gotten my vote for LVP if such a thing existed with how terrible he was last night. Giving up catches, all the personal fouls, and after the SB he was being loud and obnoxious like he won the damn thing himself.

I think Cam is just taking all this heat because he plays quarterback. If he was a wide receiver dabbing and having fun everybody would probably let it go, but since he's a qb and people expect qb to be these mature, professional at all times leaders nobody likes it that he acts like one of the guys.

Re: SuperBowl Week

Von Miller is a game changer.

Congrats to Ware for getting a ring. he had an amazing AFC champ game.

Congrats to Wade, it looked like Cam just couldnt see the field, didnt trust his eyes/playcall and the pressure got to him.

cam's post game walk off - i imagine its hard to sit there and have to answer questions when your mind is probably racing through a ton of thoughts and replays, etc. apparently you could clearly hear a broncos corner saying they game planned to force Cam to throw the ball ..... in that moment, that was probably too much for an emotional guy like Cam to handle.

i think its dumb to force the losing players to answer questions so soon after. i think its dumb to have Peyton doing a on-field interview the second the game ends.

Eli's look when Peyton basically iced the game: Priceless.

Re: SuperBowl Week

My teammates knew what it was,” Talib said. “He was on the 3-yard line. (With) a personal foul, he was on the 1 1/2-yard line, so it is what it is.”

The NFL may need to consider placing the ball at the 1 yard line for PF committed within 10-15 yards of the goal line. It seems like players dont mind taking a cheap shot when they know the penalty will just be a few yards. the Danny Amendola hit in the AFC Champ game comes to mind as well.

Re: SuperBowl Week

Cam is 26 and will be 27 in a few months. Do not use the "young" excuse for a 27 year old man. He is immature for his age and that was evident in the post game press conference. He puts the bulls eye on himself.

On the tired subject of the offenses were terrible in the Super Bowl: Don't sell the the Broncos and Carolina's defenses short, they are really that good.
Tom Brady and "one the best offenses (Patriots coaching staff) in the NFL" could not beat Denver's defense. Why is it that hard to grasp that Carolina's offense could not do any better? Tell me, what current offense, Qb or teams game plan in the entire NFL at this time would have done better against Denver's defense yesterday if Patriots could not beat them? Who is heads and shoulders better offensively at this time?
I get tired of hearing the arm chair offensive guru's out there that think if they ran a different game plan/offense the other team would have won. No. Denver's defense is that good that they beat the best current offenses in the NFL. Period. Some times that happens.

agree and your name says it all. Denver's CB are insanely great and the LB's Marshall and Trevathen can cover TEs and Running Backs out the backfield.

I know we arent big players ...but I really wouldn't mind one of Denver's Free Agent LBs.
