Heck, I wouldn't care if he invited Griffin to the dinner to meet the man who might be his new coach.

Stafford sitting in on the Caldwell interview isn't an ESPN newsflash.
I think you mean Jon worked with Bruce.

No, he was an offensive assistant under his brother with Bruce in Tampa from 2002-2008.

Wisenhunt-HC/Grimm-OC could be a great coaching staff. I'm still not sold on Wisenhunt, though.

Seems irrelevant now..

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter
Though WASH reached out to him last week, Vanderbilt HC James Franklin has no interview planned with Redskins. Sounds like PSU or Vandy.

Re: Pick Your Next Redskins Head Coach

Just read this in an article, and I have heard similar things to this:

"Above all, what Griffin has requested is a coach that teaches a more traditional offense, and that's likely what he'll get in Gruden."

I think I also heard something like his father and him asked/demanded that he not run the read option anymore.

Is there anything to substantiate these statements? Or is it just more of the BS being thrown around?

Who knows anymore? That's why if they hire Briles it will make RG2 and 3 look bad. All the talk in the offseason of being more of pocket passer and then brining Briles throws that out the window.

I think by this time next week we need to have a coach and building a staff, If SD loses Whiz will pick his job and then all others will follow IMO.

Gruden to the Redskins?

He's still in Redskins park. Some leaks coming out. Could be really premature.
