Re: 2015 NFL Draft: Round 1

I'm not a huge fan of the pick, it was def needed, but Williams seems like a once in a lifetime pick. McC hinted that he wasn't going for a flashy player, but a "meat and potatoes" type of guy.

Re: 2015 NFL Draft: Round 1

Apparently teams are being stingy with picks. No trades. We just upgraded at rg or rt. Everyone says he is safest pick in draft. We've been terrible. Safe and nasty isn't a bad way to go. Resign Trent and we're 2/5ths of way to Hogs 2.0.

On a side note the JETS D-Line is straight beast mode now. Their backup is a a starter on the other 31 teams.

I'm fine with robbing the Giants.

Probably right on that since the Giants took a tackle.

If he was so great, why did he fall all the way to #6?

That would be awesome , to find a pass rusher in rd 2 or 3 . I would be fine if we drafted another OL in rd 2 , I want this team to wear our sisters in the East down .... all day long .

Agree...signing silverback to an extension needs to get done immediately. Funny how both skins and giants see what Dallas did and are now reaching for Oline help in the first round.

Scherff said he was surprised because he hasn't talked to the Redskins since the Combine.

Because teams weren't drafting for BPA, they were drafting for need.

Redskins draft board:

Albert Breer @AlbertBreer · 10m 10 minutes ago
Iowa OL Brandon Scherff was 3rd overall on the Redskins board, behind only Dante Fowler and Amari Cooper. So they did well to get him at 5.

Gruden says Day 1 Scherff will start out at right tackle. Says he was best player available for what they wanted to do when they picked.
