re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)

Just bought FIFA 11, not a huge difference from FIFA 10 if you are a FIFA-head then it matters. I think about .00124% of this forum really cares about FIFA...

My next buy is probably Black Ops, simply because a good amount of my friends will buy it too. I rather play a somewhat decent game online with friends than an amazing game by myself.

On a related note, does anyone have GameFly? Is it worth it?

I use GameFly on and off, it's pretty good. Popular new releases can be tough to get though.

Dead Space 2 just came out, loving it so far. It also now has multi-player which I haven't tried out yet but I've heard it's good.

Haven't played Dead Space, but heard good things. Might check out the original if I can get it for cheap.

You can probably pick up the original for pretty cheap now, it came out in 2008 I think.

re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)

the single player is everything I could have hoped for in Dead Space 2 and a day off from work well used. The multiplayer is cool, but nothing remarkable. But back to the single player, I had my jaw drop a few times and I almost dropped my controller a couple times as well from getting freaked out. Playing this game with turtle beaches or something similar adds a whole different creepiness factor to the table as you hear every little whisper and claw dragging around.

It's made me jump several times and I'm only a couple of hours in
