Not a huge fan of the pumpkin ales in general. I had dogfish head's version and thought it was pretty decent. I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of this year's celebration ale. Hophead heaven. |

Not of fan of Octorfest or Winter Seasonals. Most seem to be "spicey"...more a fan of the spring, summer seasonals.

I had a Blue Moon Belgian White with the orange slice off the tap at a local sports bar on Thursday night, and it was delicious. The first time I tried Blue Moon off tap at Nats Park a couple months ago it tasted flat (no orange slice w/ that), but the one I got served at the bar was very crisp and delicious, and the drops of orange juice from the slice I put in there worked very well. I also tried a Shocktop Lemon Shandy at that container joint on Half Street right before the centerfield entrance to Nats Park a few weeks ago, and it was not good. Had very little flavor to it, and it tasted slightly warm too. Maybe I should stop trying beers at/near Nats Park lol. Still gonna try their Belgian White eventually though. |

A new taproom opened recently in my town, 16 taps of craft brews. I've been in heaven. Here's a few of their recent beer boards. |

Picked up a 4 pack of this tonight, almost choked when they rang it up at $20, I didn't realize it's also 15% alcohol. Definitely looking forward to trying one. This is supposed to be some legendary stuff. Bourbon County Brand Stout - Goose Island - Chicago, IL - BeerAdvocate |
