Your talking about the American Jobs Act thats suppose to do the same thing as the last stimulas of 800 billion that didn't work. Why keep throwing money down the same empty pit only for Obama to use it to buy more votes.

C'mon FD, UAW, Solyndra, Abound, Tesla, Fisker just need a little more gov't cash to create jobs and turn it around. You'll see, Obama and the gov't did build that!

You're telling my 40% tax cuts didn't boost the economy?

Are you saying the thousands of teachers, policeman, and fireman that weren't laid off didn't help the economy?

Have you ever seen a bridge or a road that fixed itself?

Obama is doing a AMA on Reddit. Holy crap...lol

https://twitter.com/BarackObama/stat...03767350968320

I am Barack Obama, President of the United States -- AMA : IAmA

Quote:
Hi, I’m Barack Obama, President of the United States. Ask me anything. I’ll be taking your questions for half an hour starting at about 4:30 ET.

Proof it's me: https://twitter.com/BarackObama/stat...03767350968320

We're running early and will get started soon.

UPDATE: Hey everybody - this is barack. Just finished a great rally in Charlottesville, and am looking forward to your questions. At the top, I do want to say that our thoughts and prayers are with folks who are dealing with Hurricane Isaac in the Gulf, and to let them know that we are going to be coordinating with state and local officials to make sure that we give families everything they need to recover.

THIS is priceless.

Romney Party Yacht Flies Cayman Islands Flag - ABC News

Quote:
The floating party, hosted by a Florida developer on his yacht "Cracker Bay," was one of a dozen exclusive events meant to nurture those who have raised more than $1 million for Romney's bid.

"I think it's ironic they do this aboard a yacht that doesn't even pay its taxes," said a woman who lives aboard a much smaller boat moored at the St. Petersburg Municipal Marina.

Romney's Cayman-based investments have come under fire during the campaign.

I think the game just changed. Mittens got exposed for going after cheap child labor. Such a shiny beacon that our country should look towards!

Whoever taped this was sitting on a gold mine.

Where in that video did Romney say he was going after child labor? He was contrasting life in China with life in the US. How stupid can your spin get here?

Romney said we had it made here, compared to situations like the one he talked about in China. Show where Romney said he approved of it, instead of being surprised by it.

And you didn't even get minor details right. 18 to 23 is child labor?

This is why I ignore this thread normally. All the republican bashing going on now, it appears to be lies and exaggeration at best. Like the description of this video. Again, fear and division is all Democrats have left at this point, like the guy I wish was at the top of the Republican ticket said. But I guess you guys didn't watch that speech, just tried to find someone else to poke holes in it for you.

"The game just changed", is kinda funny. If this video isn't being described accurately, what does this mean about all the other mud thrown around in this thread? I'd say "the game" against the republicans has just been exposed as lies and hyperbole at best.

Want to respond to this. You know as well as I do that China has underage kids working in factories. Sure Mitt said the ages of 18-23 in his speech, but did he check all of their ID and documentation? I would bet my life on the fact there are underage workers at that particular factory he was at. Let's talk about the safety factor. Barbed wire fencing? What if the place burnt down? Think Mitt cares? **** no. As long as Mitt's pockets are getting lined, he doesn't care if they hire 13 year old girls and work them until they drop.

The video says more about him providing jobs in China as opposed to the US. Isn't he supposed to be this miracle "job creator" he's trying to boast? Yet, here we see him talking about his factory where his cheap labor force continues to make him bank. Mitt is going to do what's best for him and his cronies. Continue to cut taxes on his wealth class, leave open loop holes, and continue to allow jobs to be shipped overseas. It's what he does, and he's not going to change anytime soon. (if ever)

CNN has a break down of those 47% he isn't going to worry about.

I really don't know how this man can be president at this point.

And there are underage sweatshops in this country. Should you assume every time you see Obama at a plant, that he's going for child labor? Should Obama be checking the ID and documentation of every place he visits? Does Obama check fire codes of all the places he visits? The bastard!

Yes there are underage sweatshops in China, and this country. So why do you assume the plant Romney went to employed children? Do Chinese factories simply not employ people over the age of 13, or only the ones associated with Romney?

The captions put in the video assert Romney was supporting child labor, but in this covert video, Romney never says so.

So again, are you going to start accusing Obama of supporting child labor? If not, why not? It's no bigger leap than the one you're already making.

How the hell do you get that from what Romney was saying? Again, you're making leaps an olympic athlete would be proud of.

"95% of life is set up for you if you're born in this country" is what Romney says. Comparing that to a factory in China, reinforces that point.

So aside from no evidence of child labor in this case, check this out:

When asked by ABC News' Jon Karl about the surreptitiously shot video, Romney senior adviser Ed Gillespie handed off responsibility to Bain.

"As for Bain, you know that video is old, you can call Bain and ask them what they did in terms of investing on it, I don't have any information on that," Gillespie said.

A person familiar with Bain's activities told ABC News "we didn't buy the factory." And according to a FactCheck.org analysis in June the three other Chinese factories that the Obama campaign has highlighted as examples of Romney's outsourcing were all bought by Bain after Romney left the company in 1999. http://factcheck.org/2012/06/obamas-outsourcer-overreach/

But keep on parroting unsubstantiated stories, NC_Skins. How can you go wrong with anonymous sources whose captions don't even match up with the video?

Jobs act...doesnt do enough. Has a couple good things, but he really hasnt pushed enough and sold it. Talk of stimulus and raising taxes on the rich is what I hear alot of. The raising tax on the wealthy (which I do support) does zero for jobs, like another round of stimulus.

Simpson and Bowles commision had alot good stuff in it, Obama and the congress ignored it.

Our nation tax code needs to be over hauled big time, this is a move with support on both sides and Bernanke and the Fed agree as well. Obama coulda really made an impact if he woulda at least pushed considerations from Simpson and Bowles debt commision and took an active approach at tax reform. Obama sat on his hands too much for me with his approach on the economy and our country's debt.
