re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
Hopefully they make this into a game one day. I mean Quantic Dream basically made the same claim during their tech demo with Heavy Rain and eventually made that into a game. Either way interesting concept.

How does everyone feel about the black ops 2 reveal? Personally the first one is my second favorite cod in the series and I like the 2025 time frame. Interested to seeing the new zombie mode as well.

re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
I used to be a COD fan, until I took an arrow to the knee, at which point I spent my time playing Skyrim. It's funny to think at one point I had invested over 10 days' worth of free time playing MW2, and I still haven't bought MW3, and have no plans to either.

re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
I'm definitely way past being burned out on Call of Duty. I have MW3 but I might as well sell it now while I can still get something decent for it. I've barely played it.
Think I'm burned on shooters in general. Haven't even played BF3 much lately. At least Tryarch is trying something different by taking it into the future. Infinity Ward has lost their mojo I think. MW2 and 3 are the same damn games, it's like they didn't even try with 3. I have a buddy who's been in my ear about giving Skyrim a shot. Think I might try renting it and give it a whirl. |

Skyrim is one of those games where you have to invest a large amount of your free time in it if you're ever really going to take advantage of what it offers. I spent a lot of time playing it too, and as soon as I was done with the main storyline missions I was done with it.

re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
I would tend to agree, but my friend who is trying to talk me into trying it has the same taste in games as me. Shooters or sports games with some GTA mixed in. That's why I'm willing to give it a try.

Well you did last longer in Rockstar's RDR then I did. Good god running my horse around in real time from Miss to CA made me want to go do my real chores.

re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
I would like to say one thing here.
F... Games developed for PCs and Consoles at the same time. I prefer PC gaming for the most part. Gaming companies have been trying to cheap out by making one version for both and the controls are jacked on a PC. We've already seen Skyrim (even though I didnt like it) and Diablo III butcher their controls for the console market. Im fine with them both having the game, but dont make us use the same types of controls and UI layout.

re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
Yeah, I'm excited for this one. I very rarely buy games right when they come out, but this and Bioshock Infinite in the fall may be exceptions.

I hate PC Gaming right now only b/c Lucas Art decided to bring Knights of the Old Republic III only for PC. Bleh.
