Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb

History has vindicated Riggo here. Everything he says makes perfect sense, especially McNabb talking like a politician. Sorry I doubted you, Riggo.

McNabb isn't taking anyone anywhere. He can't even throw a 5 yards pass and hit a guy in stride. And everyone knows Al does what he wants when he wants. But Riggins is just trying to make some waves so people will listen to his stupid show.

McNabb is shot. This year proved it. I know some of us doubted him when he was traded here, but his play this season proved that he has nothing left.

McNabb is a great guy, a good person, and a good role model for young players. He can find work elsewhere as a backup.

Most likely due to his partying...... similar to AH.

Look I like Riggins. I grew up in that era. He was excentric and funny. AH is neither. Plus were talking about an era when players played hurt if they had to in order to collect their small pay checks. This is a different era... work out year around, OTA's, millions of dollars on the table, etc.

You bring a good point. He was...nuts. That's the image he presented, the one he wanted.
I loved Joe1 talking about his first meeting with RIggo. He was wearing camo and drinking a beer early in the a.m. Joe was like...Whoa sh..
BUT he was funny and Joey T. talked a bunch of smack as well. Unlike Big, they both DELIVERED the goods

Former Redskins running back John Riggins has weighed in on the Albert Haynesworth saga, saying that it’s been clear since the 2009 season Haynesworth doesn’t hustle on the field, and that the Redskins would be wise to cut ties with their pricey defensive tackle.

“This guy plays when he wants to play, and he takes plays off when you need him out on the field,” Riggins said on SIRIUS XM’s Mad Dog Radio, via Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post. “I’ve never been around a coach that thinks for a second that that’s the kind of player that’s going to help you win a championship. So my advice, not that anybody’s asking it, is to fire the guy. Get him the hell out of camp. The guy’s an infection. Why do you want him down in the locker room?”

Haynesworth isn’t the only one who was caught in Riggins’ cross hairs. Riggins also took a shot at Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb, saying he talks like a politician and adding, “I think he’ll come closer to winning the election then he will becoming a Super Bowl winning quarterback.”

And like plenty of NFL fans, Riggins is tired of hearing about Brett Favre.

“If you see this man call the local authorities,” Riggins said of Favre. “Do not try to apprehend him by yourself. He’s nuts.”

A-HOLE on the back of his shirt would have been more fitting
